Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India invites online Applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Actuarial).

Date of Online Examination (Tentative): 11th May, 2014

For all Other Candidates: Rs. 500/- plus Transaction Charges

Eligibility Conditions as on 1st March, 2014
Minimum Age shall be 21 years (completed)
Maximum age shall not be more than 30 years
Note: Relaxation in the age limit as per Government directions
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should have compulsorily passed paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more other papers of the examination conducted by the
Institute of Actuaries, London/Actuarial Society of India. (Total 6 or more papers) as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st March, 2014.
Basic Pay:
Basic pay of Rs. 17240 /- per month in the scale of Rs. 17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4) –32640 (Under Revision) and other admissible allowances as per rules.
Selection Procedure:
Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the on-line test followed by a personal interview of short listed candidates and subsequent Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination
On-line test will be of objective type, multiple choice of 120 minutes (2 hrs) duration comprising of the following:
a) Reasoning ability- 40 questions
b) Numerical ability- 40 questions
c) English Language with Special emphasis on Grammar, Vocabulary & Comprehension- 40 questions
Candidate MUST pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the interview. English Language test is of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language will not be counted for ranking.
Note: Probation period of One year, extendable up to 2 years.
