The bank released the list on the basis of Common Written Examination (CWE) for RRBs conducted by IBPS on 09.09.2012 and Interview  held from 05.02.2013 to 09.02.2013 and from 11.02.2013 to 13.02.2013 at Malappuram.

Canara Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank with Head Office in Bangalore and pan India presence with over 3650 branches released the list of candidates shortlisted for Group Discussion & Personal Interview for the post of Agricultural Extension Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

The no. of vacancies advertised by the bank are 350 and the bank shortlisted approximately 415 candidates for GD & PI. That’s a postive sign as most of you can make it. Interviews will be held from 4th March 2013 to 8th March 2013 at different time & centers. The interview centers  are Bangalore, Gurgaon & Mumbai.

Central Bank of India (CBI) has rescheduled interviews of Single window operator “A” in clerical cadre 2012-2013 which were going to held on 20.02.2013 & 21.02.2013 has been rescheduled on 25.02.2013 and 26.02.2013.

  • Selection for SWO-A/ Clerical post will be made on the basis of performance in Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS in November-December 2011 and Personal Interview.
  • The total marks for interview will be 50. The minimum qualifying marks for interview will be 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PC/EXSM).

Punjab National Bank (PNB), India’s 2nd biggest nationalized bank declared list of candidates selected for the post of Single Window Operator(SWO)-’A’ in Clerical Cadre for the state of Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka.

The Bank released the list on the basis of Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS in the month of Nov-Dec 2011 & interviews subsequently held by the bank.

Common Interviews are now over for the candidates who cleared Common written Examination (CWE-II) for the recruitment of Probationary Officers in Public Sector Banks conducted by IBPS in the month of June 2012.

Now, IBPS has released a notification stating that the interview results will be out in the Second week of February 2013 and as earlier notified, order of preference of banks will be obtained from the successful candidates through a registration process which will be available on the IBPS website from 20.2.2013 till 28.2.2013. This means that final results is going to be out any day before 20th February 2013.

Removing all worries about the number of vacancies in banks, IBPS has also declared the number of vacancies for this year – bank wise and category wise. Refer the table below:

  • Candidates successful in both CWE-PO II and Common interview will be listed in the order of merit.
  • Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his/her preference, a successful candidate will receive through a computerised system an offer from ONE of the participating PSB’s.
  • Vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining offer, will be filled from among the remaining candidates through the same procedure as mentioned above. A waitlist will be prepared from among the remaining successful candidates which will be valid upto 31.03.2014 or allotment of the next round whichever is earlier.

We are glad that IBPS has declared the list of vacancies before hand, however, there is no indication On what basis, would candidates make the preference list? Would each bank declare the remuneration, benefits, joining date, probation period, etc. before the allotment?

Dena Bank, A Premier Nationalized Bank released 2-A waitlist for its clerical candidate (Single Window Operator – A) for the state of Gujarat.

  • Relaxation in upper age limit as per Govt extant rules.
  • The basic knowledge in operating computer systems in Windows mode, knowledge of MSWord/Office, Spread Sheets like MS-Excel and Internet & Email familiarity is an essential qualification which a candidate must either possess before joining the bank services or acquire the same within a period of six months of joining the bank, in case the candidate is selected for appointment. For this purpose, the candidate is required to submit a certificate in support of this computer related qualification.
  • Probation Period: The selected candidate will be on Probation for a period of 24 months (2 years) for posts in JMGS I and 12 months (1 year) for posts in MMGS II and SMG IV from the date of his / her joining the Bank.

IBPS Specialist Officer Exam Standard Qualifying Score Required:

Candidates applying for post codes 01 to 03 should have obtained the following scores in the Common Written Examination for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in March 2012 and should be holding a valid score card issued by IBPS.

1) For HRD Officer (Post Code-01)

– For SC/ ST/ SC-PWD/ ST-PWD: 21 marks & above in each section and
total Weighted Standard Score of 114 & above.
-For Others: 24 marks & above in each section and total Weighted Standard Score of 124 & above.

2) For Hindi Officer/ Rajbhasha Adhikar(Post Code-02)

– For SC/ ST/ SC-PWD/ ST-PWD: 21 marks & above in each section and
total Weighted Standard Score of 90 & above.
-For Others: 24 marks & above in each section and total Weighted Standard Score of 96 & above.

3) Manager (Law)(Post Code-03)

– For SC/ ST/ SC-PWD/ ST-PWD: 21 marks & above in each section and
total Weighted Standard Score of 113 & above.
-For Others: 24 marks & above in each section and total Weighted Standard Score of 121 & above.

Selection Procedure:

1) For Post Codes 01 to 03:

  • A Personal Interview of 50 marks shall be conducted. The minimum qualifying marks for the Personal Interview would be 40% marks (35% marks for reserved category candidates). 
  • The short-listing of the candidates for Personal Interview will be made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Written Test conducted by IBPS in March 2012 and the Total Weighted Score obtained as per the valid Score Card Issued by IBPS.
  • Depending on the number of vacancies, only those candidates who are qualified in the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS and possess a valid score card issued by IBPS and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit based on the Total Weighted Score shall be called for a Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:3 for General / Unreserved Candidates and 1:5 in case of candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories

II) For Post Codes 04 -09:   

  • The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Group Discussion (GD) and / or interview.
  • The bank will call candidates for the GD / Interview after preliminary screening / short-listing with reference to candidates’ qualification, suitability and experience etc
  • The Bank may conduct the WRITTEN EXAMINATION in case the number of applications received from eligible candidates is reasonably high.

How to Apply?

1) In case a candidate chooses  to pay fees through branches of the Bank:

  • Download & Fill in the Fee Payment Challan.
  • Go to the nearest CBS Branch of the Bank with the Fee payment Challan and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in CBS Account No. 12371171000096 with Sector  32 Gurgaon Branch in the name & style of “OBC SPECIALIST OFFICER’S RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2012-13.
  • Obtain the Applicant’s Counterfoil Copy of the Application Fee Payment Challan duly authenticated by the Bank with all details filled up by branch officials.
  • Now Apply Online.

II) In case a candidate chooses to pay fees through NEFT:

  • Go to the nearest branch of any Bank and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in Account No. 12371171000096 with Sector 32, Gurgaon Branch (IFSC No. ORBC0101237) in the name & style of “OBC SPECIALIST OFFICERS RECRUITMENT
    PROJECT-2012-13”.
  • Obtain the Applicant’s Counterfoil Copy of NEFT Receipt duly authenticated by the Bank with all details fill up by branch officials.
  • Now, Apply Online.
