NEFT UTR Number
The term UTR No. means Unique Trasaction Reference Number and it is generally used in association with NEFT transactions done through bank. For every successful NEFT transaction, your Bank will provide a UTR number (Unique Transaction Reference No.). For example, if you do the a NEFT transaction with a branch of Union Bank of India, the Union Bank of India will provide the UTR No. to you which can be used to track the transaction later. So, UTR number is a unique code for identifying the NEFT transaction.
Please note that to make NEFT transaction, you need following details of the beneficiary account – Name of the Account Holder, Account Number, Payee Bank Name, IFSC Code of the branch.
E.g.
For Bank Clerks IBPS CWE Exam, Use –
Name of the Account : IBPS CWE- Clerical Cadre- 2011
Account Number : 005120110000778
Payee Bank : Bank of India
IFSC Code : BKID0000051
For Bank PO IBPS CWE Exam, Use –
Name of the Account : IBPS CWE- Officers’ Cadre- 2011
Account Number : 005120110000667
Payee Bank : Bank of India
IFSC Code : BKID0000051
Once transaction is complete, you will receive the UTR No. from the bank which can be quoted for any query later regarding the transaction.
Update: Regarding confusion of BOI to BOI transaction. I called the BOI customer care desk available at http://www.bankofindia.com/contactus.aspx and enquired about the confusion. They said 270711cXXXXXX is the UTR Number and needs to be entered in the CWE Exam application form. Confused people should call again to confirm and do update the status in comments to help others.
hey they gave me two numbers…
M231312
120711c06076
Which is the neft UTR number and what is the other number called ..
plz tell me… i have to update my application accordingly..
Dear Sashi,
UTR number doesn’t have a specific format and it varies from bank to bank. You should go back and check with your bank.
For others – There were lot of issues which happened during IIT JEE exam as well related to UTR numbers (http://www.jee.iitk.ac.in/JCOP/docs/noticeneft.pdf). So, the best way to pay the fees for CWE is to do the payment through online mode using a credit card / debit card (visa, mastercard). Read more about it here – http://banks-india.com/bank-jobs/how-to-apply-to-cwe-common-written-exam-for-bank-po/
Also, if you are doing the offline submission of fees for CWE, please ensure to get the cash voucher filled from the bank. Download the cash voucher here – http://www.ibps.in/career_pdf/cwe_cash.pdf

Please get this voucher filled from the bank – http://www.ibps.in/career_pdf/cwe_cash.pdf. This will tell you which one is which. You also need to submit this copy during exam.
@admin ,
Sir they are saying that in bank of India they are having only 2 nos that i have mentioned above..
M confused which one is UTR no.
Candidates who have deposited through Bank of India are suffering from the same problem in all over India.
Sir PLZ tell me what should i do ??
From which bank have you done your NEFT payment?
@admin
Sir, i made payment by bank of india. they gave me 2 nos. First one is a 12 digit no. and other is a 8 digit no. which one should i use in my online application form.
As far as i know, you cannot do NEFT transaction within the same bank as NEFT is an interbank transaction mechanism and since CWE account is also in Bank of India, doing BOI to BOI transaction would be an intrabank transfer and cannot be done through NEFT. This is the problem which IIT JEE also faces and you can read about it here – http://www.jee.iitk.ac.in/JCOP/docs/payGuide.pdf
I think, you have to contact the CWE helpline to get more clarification on it. – “Helpdesk No. : 1860 345 0112 (Option 5 : For IBPS – Common Written Exam)”
The same problem occur in my case also. I have deposit money by NEFT frm Bank of india and they provided me 2 Numbers.bt i m so confused that which one is the UTR no and wat bout that other no.
