Vijaya Bank invites applications for recruitment for various posts of chief manager, senior manager, and manager for 819 posts. Interviews will be conducted in 2012. Vijaya bank invites applications from Indian citizens for appointment as specialist/ generalist officers in various scales/ fields. Candidates can apply online through the official website of Vijaya Bank.

Pay Scale / Salary
- Officer In MMG-S-2:- Rs.19400 To 28100= Rs.33258 (Include DA,CCA)
- Officer In MMG-S-3:- Rs.25700 To Rs.31500=Rs.43883 (Include DA, CCA)
- Officer In SMG-S-4:- Rs.30600 To Rs.36200=Rs. 52147 (Include DA, CCA)
Eligibilty Criteria
The criteria varies for each post based on the job profile. Basic criteria include:
- Minimum age – 21 yrs
- Maximum age – 35 yrs(Scale II), 37 yrs (Scale III), 40 yrs (Scale IV) as on Nov 22,2011.
- Experience of minimum 2 years in Banks/ Financial Institutions (no. of yrs may increase for senior posts)
Fees
- Rs 300 – OBC
- Rs 50 SC/ST
Selection Process
Since the positions are for senior/middle management, there will be no written test.

as resignation from present institute needs 3 months advance notice either to pay 3 month salary
I think what Shri. Mangesh has told is true, that VB HR is hiding something and I feel that the process of final selection is not full proof. Before declaring the results candidates have received the offer letter, that seems fishy…

Dear mangesh Bhai yeh to samajh mai nahi aa raha hai ki specalist off ko pahle kyo diya ja raha hai yeh baat mai pucha tha maine pohone pe but i am received nothing answer by vijaya bank end abb kah rahe hai kal published ho raha hai reslut but i am sure shayad kal bhi nahi ayega agar hame hr hi sahi ans nahi dega too kon dega and what we expext?
i talked to delhi ro & lkw Ro they told that 12 candidate are to be reported thre at lkw & 41 candidate @ delho RO for scale III gen banking .
mangesh bhai aapki baat kab hui or aapke kahne ka matlab hai ki gb scale 3 ka reslut decalre ho chuka hai?
yes it has been declare and more than 80 % candidate already recd. one thing is to be noted that ther was total 276 post for Scal III for gb but they have probably not selected all seat .some whre around only 100-110 candidate slected .it is been the habit of vijaya bank since from last 3 recruitment cycle
and what about scale 2 declare

mangesh first u decide wht u wana say. In one statement u say result came for gen. Scale III and in one usay not yet declared.

thuresday ko result declare ho chuka hai scale 2 ka but hr to kuch or hi kaha raha hai anybody received the scale 2 offer letter and confirm the same

I have been selected as Sr. Manager (Credit)- MMGS III. As per the advertisement, it is a ‘Generalist’ cadre which to my mind is logical as well as lending or credit decisoning is core to the Commercial Bank’s existence and is not a specialized activity. Therefore, it does not mean that “General Banking” officers are the only ‘Generalist’ and all others are ‘Specialist’.
Please refer the advertisement to ascertain the classification of the post you applied for. I say this because there is a different classification for the same activity if the grade differs. E.g., as per the advertisement Sr. Manager (Forex) – MMGS III is a ‘Generalist’ while Chief Manager (Forex) – SMGS IV is a ‘Specialist’ If you are wondering why this has been done when the activity i.e. FOREX remains same and it is only a difference in grade, I can hazard a guess………….. promotion rules for generalist/specialist officers differ in PSBs.
For specialists, it usually takes a much longer time to get a call for promotion. A classification like the one done above helps the HRD of the Bank to streamline promotions in a manner such that the lateral joinee at SMGS IV does not enjoy a significantly large advantage over its existing officer community at SMGS IV. You will observe that the min years of service for lateral joinee in SMGS IV is 5 years … while in a PSB it takes approximately 8-10 years for an officer to reach SMGS IV from the date of his joining. By slotting the lateral joinee in SMGS IV as a Specialist, the Bank would have ironed out his 5 year advantage. For his subsequent promotion he can choose to remain a specialist and have limited opportunities of rising or he can convert to a generalist cadre and apply. Either way it is unlikely that he would get a call before 7-8 years, thus negating his inital advantage over the existing SMGS IV officers.
In layman’s terms its called a “Ploy” :)

As you got the offer letter, in that you have HR dept phone no.
You can call them and ask them about the status of your request and also you can ask for the no of DGM and they will provide you the no. Then you can directly contact to DGM and ask for the status.
As I am also having the notice period, I asked for the extention.
But till now I didnt get any reply. So I called them and when from HR dept noone was picking up my phone then they have given me DGM’s phone no.
I spoke to DGM and he told me i will get his reply in 2-3 days…..so I am just waiting for then reply.
You can also do the same.
