Union Bank of India (UBI), a leading public sector bank and among the 19 participating bank of IBPS exam became the first bank to announce recruitment based on IBPS CWE Bank PO Exam 2011. With Head Office in Mumbai and all India representation, UBI invites ON-LINE Applications, from qualified candidates who hold a valid IBPS Score Card issued by IBPS, for recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer.

Selection Procedure – Personal Interview
Eligibility Criteria
Age Requirement – Min 21 and Max 30
Education Requirement
-> Graduate Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for Reserved Category) (Mandatory)
-> Preferably with Diploma in Banking & Finance (DBF) from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF)
-> Candidates should be Qualified in the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS and should be holding a valid score card issued by IBPS. (Mandatory)
-> A Certificate for having completed a Course in Computer Awareness & Office Automation for duration of minimum 60 hours from a reputed Computer Training Institute, which will be waived where ‘Computers’ is a part of the curriculum at the Graduation / Post-Graduation Level. (Mandatory)
As Corporation and Syndicate banks have lesser vacancies, their cut offs will go higher than Union Bank of India…so lets not hope for these things and prepare for other career options….

Well guys i think these all posts are open for the candidates(10,611)shortlisted for Union bank because they again will apply in each and every bank and will be again called for it and cut off again will go high for all the banks as this bank had maximum no. of vacancies and i dnt think any other bank will come up with more vacancies than this. there must be a rule that if one applies for 1 bank he/she cant for other banks or if somebody gets selected for 1 bank after interview he cant go for other banks interviews should be scheduled accordingly and result given as soon as possible so that those 2437 candidates selected should not opt for other banks. this way other candidates having TWS less than all these candidates have will never get a chance….then for what matter IBPS passed us for the process if they only will be called. i guess all other candidates should also get a chance for interview and then after giving interviews total marks of written test and interview combined should be the criteria for job application in any bank some people may have good soft skills but they will never get a chance this way.
IBPS should give these guidelines to all banks or we should gather for this cause.

I think, There must be a rule:
1. That if one applies for 1 bank he/she cant for other banks than he/she should prepare for it and will not be permitted to apply in next upcoming recruitment process b.
2. Interviews by various banks should take place at a certain time gap and with fast results and the candidates who get selected for that bank should not be permitted in recruitment process for the next banks recruitments.
3. Call all the candidates for the interview who apply and mention cut off well before in the advertisement by the bank so that there is no money wastage of the candidates.
Consequences if this present process carry on:
1. These 10,611 will apply again and again in every banks recruitment and will be called again for the interviews by every bank.
2. After 1 candidate getting selected by the bank he may also be selected for other banks for the post. Which will give candidate the choice to join a particular bank and leave all the other banks posts vacant which he got selected in.
3. Banks will again gather a back log(or a vacant position) because the candidate will chose only one bank which is also not beneficial to the bank.
4. Or the banks will give a waiting list to other (10,611)candidates called for the interviews and they only will be placed
IBPS faulty scheme:
1. If this was the process to follow than IBPS should have given scorecard to only these candidates(10,611 or may be upto 15000 top candidates) and not misguided the other 1 lakh students for getting test cleared.
2. There is no use of keeping interview for 100 marks as other candidates(which have good soft skills and less score in ibps test) do not have the access to these marks and getting it aggregated.
3. People below grad percentage should have not permitted to give the ibps po test as all banks have this criteria of minimum % in graduation.
Solution:
I guess the people who cleared the test and meet the basic IBPS score requirements of the bank should be called for the interview and given a chance to prove them in interview and then their marks (IBPS test score + interview score) should be calculated and rank should be given to all the candidates then the bank reserves the right to select the candidates with high combined score. Otherwise its just a money catching devices as candidates with high TWS will apply in each and every bank recruitment and 1lakh people with less TWS will just pay the challans of these banks and will never be given a chance to prove them in interview {as per criteria of the banks 3 candidates for 1 position(general) and 5 for 1 position(reserved) will be called for interview} will be called again and again.

hey guys listen,10600 something shortlisted in UB, in that 50 % is general,so around 5300 are under general, among that 4500 are general categorey and rest 800 are obc who come under 166 mark, i got 168 and i am shortlisted, what this shows is only 5500 students are above 166 mark coz union bank is the first bank to be listed and every body will apply for that,now 6 banks called ub -1250,syndicate -800,bank of india-870,cooperation bank-200,canara bank -1000,pnb-390 so total around 4400 vacancy all ready called for general categorey so those general candidates who got 166 and above will get a job.
now whats the pblm is whether they are shortlisting one after the other or simultaneously, if they short listed at same time rare chances for 166 to 175 mark general students. if u think i am wrong pls correct me

UNION BANK USED SMART WAY TO EARN MONEY EVEN VIA IBPS PROCEDURE (which was created with one of the reasons that banks do not waste people’s money in the name of Entrance exam).
SLAP ON IBPS’S FACE.
IF UNION BANK WANTED IDEA OF SCORE, THEY SHOULD HAVE GOT WHOLE RESULT FROM IBPS AND THEN ISSUED CUT OFF.

Once selected in a bank IBPS will cancel their further participation in this process…. So after the recruitment of UBI and Syndicate TOP 2500+1700=4200 candidates will not participate further And ultimately the Interview cutoff will come down…

I agree with you. Atleast banks should refund half of the money to all those candidates who are not called for the interview..

hi friends…….plz help me….i need a suggestion frm u all guys…
My twss is 167 from obc category………and my father is a retired jharkhand state government employee ……i have 2 brothers…….1 is living in US working for a software firm and another one is working in TCS in Bangalore, now my delima is, if i say the truth about their real designation, will they question on my being part of OBC non creamy layer category, or should i hide my brothers designation if they ask about my family…….or these all things does’nt matter…….
