IBPS RRB Exam Review – 2nd September 2012
IBPS conducted common written examination (CWE) for recruitment in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in the officer scale I, II, III on 2nd September 2012. Many of our visitors appeared in the examination for the coveted jobs equivalent to bank POs in the regional rural banks (RRBs).
As per some of the comments from the candidated who appeared in the IBPS RRB examination today, the test paper was much simpler than the monstrous IBPS PO paper held during 17 June 2012. The paper was easy although General Awareness was a little bit tough and Quantitative Ability (QA or Maths) section was time consuming.
Please let us know your comments on the RRB examination. Did you also felt it is easier than the IBPS PO on june 17? Also, leave comments on the number of questions attempted along with the difficulty level of each of the section.
We will then collate the data and publish it for the benefit of all.
Also, don’t forget to LIKE our Facebook Page to receive updates on the IBPS examinations and results.
my attempts:
quant 28
reasoning 30
english 39
computer 35
gk 34.
Cant say much abt accuracy though.Quant(especially DI) was so time taking that i ended up having to leave 5 easy(it seemed) questions in reasoning.cudnt solve a single series ques(in quant) and figure series(in reasoning).am worried abt overall cutoff.ny1?
reasoning was manageable, but maths was quite time consuming and little bit tough also
Paper same tha kya for scale 1 and for scale 2 specialists????
2 out of 3
arey yaar…paper mila kya kisi ko net par… pata nahi kya sahi kya galat kr k aaye hai…kuch check toh kr le :P
170
Started With GA which is the only difficult section for me all the time,,, but for surprise it was not so tough :: attempted 30-35
then Computer (only a few were out of world) :: attempted 35+
then analyzed English & Hindi and found its better to go with English section as Hindi seemed tough at a glance,,, in English, only tough part was the sentences rearrangement :: attempted 30-35
these all three sections were completed in 50-55mins…
then I did Reasoning (can say easy) :: attempted 35+
lastly I had 45 mins for QA n I thought its enough but as I started with two DIs first, 10-15mins were lost just in figuring out the data in ques itself… :: attempted exactly 25
Overall I am Very satisfied with this paper compared to JUNE 17 PO paper where I started with Reasoning and it eaten up everything… (^_^)
perhaps Mr. Shyam had some extra time to attempt both English n Hindi :)
U cant say it was tough,,, if so then U still need to prepare a lot for it… only QA sec was time taking… rest nothing tough at all in any of the sections…
Qualifying marks always depends upon the standard deviation so no one can tell U the exact cutoff…
16 in maths implies 16×1.25= 20marks which is fare enough,,, now it depends on how many you marked correct out of these 16…
I (a Common student) give practice test every alternate day,,, and 170 is minimum number of marked answers alwayz…
for you reading ques kills the time,,, for me Filling up the OMR ans circles is the basic time killer…
@ Harry : can you pls share the ans key to GA section…
Me agree IBPS system is looking failure till now, B’coz still banks vacancies remain vacant & most of d pass student didn’t having interview calls that is very much disgusting thing for students point of view,
its providing boost to increases frustration level of student and decreases interest of IBPS kinds of Examination.
& also I personally think that if any organization out the result of any student then its their responsibility to provide even single interview call to such student
wht is your ctgry
Rahul you r right….
a candidate whether he has got 120 or 185
he should be allowed to attend a single interview because IBPS allow him as a passed
candidate…
eng me 39 lega cut 30 aa jayen tere woh hi bhot hain
tera bbap naukri de raha hai kya jo itane confidence se bol raha hai.
Tere baap to de rahe hain, abhi bhi humse hi chahiye…
hi..pls post the questions of GA if u do remember..it wud help me a lot..plssss!!
Its true that rrb officer 1 paper was easier overall. Can be said that verbal reasoning was under-standard. QA was really time taking. Could attempted a maxm of 25-28 in 55-60 mins. Rest portion was okay.an average student could easily qualify if worked properly.

who said cut off will be 170-180.it will be 140-150.So dont spread wrong news DEBASISH
It totaly depends on accuracy, not on attempt. If u will pass then there should be in merit also and for merit U will have to earn more than 170 marks.
So u can guess what is ur hope….
