@ohh: dear frnd, have u ever studied our Indian history? these so called SC/ST ppl were even not allowed to attend schools etc, by so called upper cast ppl? they used to enjoy 100% reservation. was that fair? Plz 1st try to understand the cause/ reason of a topic & then discuss it.

very difficult to forecast the no. of vacancies at dis very moment but be positive since Ntpc and so many other psu’s recruitment going on the m sure somewhere around 5 to 10 % toppers will get selected in these psu’s nd wont compete with us so we have chance at positive side rest depends on god
all the vest.
ekbaar pahle GALAT ho chuka hai ishka matlab yeh nahi ki hum ushko sudharne k liye phir se GALAT kadam utaye….
jin logon ne aisa kiya tha , aur jinke saath aisa hua tha woh sab toh ab nahi rahe , haan unke naam par aaj unke jaat wale AISH kar rahe hain , ushmein bhi jisko FAIDA milna chahiye ushko nahi ho raha ahi , woh log toh aaj bhi GARIBI se lad rahe hain RESERVATION ka FAIDA sirf aur sirf ECONOMICALLY WELL TO DO families hin utha rahi hai… :-)
@Sachin: We r the descendents of the of those ppl who did those “galtiyan”. its up to us to mend those mistakes. Do have even a slightest idea of the consequences that these ppl r facing, even till today? & yes u r correct, the scheme of reservation has not been perfect, it holds for every system.
plz dont bother urself, go & get a private job. Since govt. is here to help all the section of the society, remember, its a “democracy” :)
let them do it their way, if u dont like it, u r most welcome to walk out. plz dont blame the system.
its the same way, that a person scoring 99.99% in CAT & still not getting call frm IIM’s, since he had just 82% in 12th. He will also blame iim’s fr their system. yes those ppl r fools, u should get admission in a smarter college. ;)
Dude first of all i would like to say don’t take this personally … think on the point you/i are making ..
First of all i would like to say i am not oppose to the idea of reservation for a limited period of time. Secondly every system is not perfect that doesn’t means we can’t build one.
B R Ambedkar “GREATEST DALIT LEADER” he himself was opposed to the idea of reservation, it was Gandhiji who wanted this but just for a period of ten years, according to history ..
Discrimination was in its ugliest form in 18th-19th century which has been slowly fading out … Today you will hardly hear that some category(referring to all those enjoying reservation) has been stopped from entering temple, etc. that were prevalent. There are stringent laws to take care of social injustice. But due to our incompetent nincompoop politicians its still there.
Why shouldn’t i bother my self to get a government job, its my country too. You have truly said its “democracy”, yes it is but it is for non-category people too. Private sector people do pay tax, which is used by government to spend on different category/non-category people welfare .
Please don’t talk of IIM’s only the best of general/category candidate reach there, but there is a big gap between the best of general candidate and worst of category candidate in comparison to the best of category candidate and worst of general candidate..
We have been rule, oppressed and ill-treated by Britisher’s and Arab rulers for more than 1300 years , this doesn’t mean we have a right of reservation there , but today we are as competent and equal as them.
You replied to m previous post almost instantly, which makes me assume that you to are from well to do family, think impartially do you need reservation , but still you are enjoying it.
Hope you understand ….
r u living in 100 yr back…. many of my frnds of sc catagory have plenty of bank balance..but they also need relaxation in application form…a talented student even after scoring 90% cant get a job…but a sc /st with only 70% eligible…talent should be treated … not the cast…
tujhe faida mil raha he … tu kon he kisiko walk out bolne wala…tu kon he private job ka advice dene wala…hua ye ki tujhe adat sa pad gaya he facility ka…paisa ti kharcha hi nehi hota …kese samjhega….general ke liye 25 sal=sc/st lifetime trial karte raho…
dekh sachin bhaya…ye log kabhi nehi samjhenge…lakhpati bhi banjaye phir bhi form free mein dalenge…form bharte waqt sc/st likhne ko maza ata he…par koi bol diya to badi issue ban jati he…
being aan engineering student i have only 2 chances to crack many of psu companies.. as the age limit is 25 yrs..but for sc/st candidate it is upto 30 yr…aur wo bhi free mein form dalkar…i scored 152 in ibps po…one of my frnd(sc/st) got 150….now PO at union bank goa…we may think he is talented or lucky to be sc…
reservation should be there according to economic and social background…not from a cast background…sc/st from villages even unaware of the facilities..but economically stable high class sc/st living in state capitals having a clss 2 job seeking reservation for thier children.. it is not getting the aim..it is demoralising very talented poor candidates..
i got 130…gen..i think there will be max 400-500 vacancy for tech officer..for gen 200-240 only…from that point of view what may be the cutoff for gen..i have seen 25% among 120-126. i have seen marks upto 137..plz post ur valuable views.. i m very serious as i have a 2yr jobless gap
IS 128 in technical officer chemical engineering branch will be good to get interview call, anyone have any idea about this actually i am not seeing anyone from chemical branch.
Sangram: i also left my private job, last yr. who scored 137? wat all marks have u seen? u say 25% scored arnd 120-126. what did others scored? lesser or greater than 120-126? r there many ppl >130?? & who told u abt the number of vacancies in technical sec? 400-500??
@ohh: Dude, fr u knowledge, i’m a brahmin, :P General Category, & i’ve seen the horrors of reservation myself in 2007, when i was selected in the extended list of JEE, & my frnd who scored 1/3rd of my score bagged a seat in Electronics in IIT-D :P :P
& plz do not confuse the need of reservation with bank balance or financial status. its not abt that.
@ohh: what r u talking abt? do u kno that most of the times, a general category student has better access to study methods, better teachers, classmates, tuition as comapred to a single teacher in a small village in a school, which doesn’t even have a fan, chairs, tables etc.
How can u expect such students to compete with the so called “talented” students?? We all know from where that talent comes in.
that 90% was scored with the help of relatively better teachers, tuition, better amenities etc.
You r just looking & the end results, the difference of GRAND 90% & petit 70%. plz bother to look in for the reasons behind that, esp when the reasons were OUR great ancestors. I cant live with the shame of hurting sum1 & not mending/helping them back.
try to understand this way. there is good chance that a person frm a “category” never went to school, still he manages to send his offspring to a school. But still the overall development of that child wont be up to mark, coz his backgroung, his family members were not educated. But yes, if he gets a chance to study amongst the so called “talented” students, definitely his mental status will improve, he will rise, & so will his children.
& plz try to understand, these ppl r also Homo sapiens, our brothers, friends & sometimes more than that. A little compassion wont harm.
@ohh: plz explain the last line of ur comment, “it is demoralising very talented poor candidates..”??
@ohh: in reference to ur comment abt ur frnd’s 150 score in PO exam, if he scored 150 from a category & u being gen, still scored 152 :P, i would say, he is really talented, he must have worked real hard to score that much. money alone doesn’t fetch u knowledge brother. & plz dont call him being lucky to be from a category, its almost impossible to bear that even for a day for us what those ppl have gone through for hundreds of years. PEACE.
we have received our IBPS scorecard, its not showing on the website(http://ibpsresults.sifyitest.com/ibpsresmay12/login.php). IBPS has mailed about the EMS number of the SPEED POST , go to your nearest POST OFFICE to check it out..
i completed my schooling in a village govt school. not a good family background also.. my main problem is money.. i have seen much failure recent days with marginal cutoffs.. thats why very upset… each time asking for money is my greatest problem…also the burden of study loan.. can u say a sc/st family of a gazated officer is weak in terms of health, wealth & status in society also living in state capital… according to our “SAMBHIDHAN” if majority of a dalit catagory are developed the quota should be cancelled .. there is no reservation for general catagory as 80% of them are developed..have u seen any tahasil applying this rule to the developed sc/st
i should have omitted “very” here..i mean poor candidate cant afford 500 rs for each application(average monthly 2 times)…he may thought 10 times whether he can or cant..that time he find some of his frnd getting job who were scoring much less than him in school days…it hurts if this happens again & again..it hurts only when u think
