In 2012, IBPS CWE for Clerks was conducted in Online mode for the first time in the second half of December 2012 due to the sheer volume of candidates who applied for this test. A whopping 40 Lakh candidates appeared during 2011, however, due to increase in the eligibility requirement to graduation during 2012, the number has declined significantly for the year 2012. Just like IBPS PO, common interviews for IBPS Clerk 2 (online mode) is also expected to be conducted by IBPS for the qualified candidates of online written exam.
The successful candidates will be arranged in the order of merit (based on total score including the common interviews) and based on the vacancies in each bank, will then be asked to apply according to their preferences and the candidate will receive an offer from one of the Participating Public Sector Banks through a computerized system. The IBPS Clerk Result last year was released on 29th Feb, 2012, however, since the clerk 2 exam was conducted in online mode in 2012, the result of IBPS Clerk 2 came early on 11th Jan, 2013

@sanjeeb.its depends on your branch.if u r a computer engineer then the answer is that ,in modern banking like e-banking,mobile banking etc ,there are a lot of usage of computer and technology.today we can not think banking without the use of technology.and in the banking sector ur knowledge somewhere help yourselves to make a good career in this field.and u can manipulate the answer as per your knowledge in information technology.

@s.p.-U can make a bright career in banking sector as ec students can also apply for it officer.so u can collect information regarding bank field in which ur knowledge helps bank operations to be performed.U can say that clerk is just a medium to enter in the banking industry.and by ur hard work and determination u will get promotions in the same bank.

@Madhya pradesh general it is not 1:3. Bec some cand wil be disqualify in int. So the ratio is more.

@Mp gen where did u get 1:3 is the ratio. Is it not mentioned in ibps advt? Another thing most of banks hv shortilisted around 4 or 5 times of vac. in past.

@sanjeeb-I answered the question “why clerk after btech”.U can find out the electrical engineering work in banking sector.and tell them at the time of interview that your knowledge is helpful to themselves.show them that ur knowledge useful for them in the future when u will become a technical officer in the same bank.

maximum candidates are bw 125-135,
so it totally depends upon interview.
