In 2012, IBPS CWE for Clerks was conducted in Online mode for the first time in the second half of December 2012 due to the sheer volume of candidates who applied for this test. A whopping 40 Lakh candidates appeared during 2011, however, due to increase in the eligibility requirement to graduation during 2012, the number has declined significantly for the year 2012. Just like IBPS PO, common interviews for IBPS Clerk 2 (online mode) is also expected to be conducted by IBPS for the qualified candidates of online written exam.
The successful candidates will be arranged in the order of merit (based on total score including the common interviews) and based on the vacancies in each bank, will then be asked to apply according to their preferences and the candidate will receive an offer from one of the Participating Public Sector Banks through a computerized system. The IBPS Clerk Result last year was released on 29th Feb, 2012, however, since the clerk 2 exam was conducted in online mode in 2012, the result of IBPS Clerk 2 came early on 11th Jan, 2013

I am having a doubt.. why bank looking for graduates for a job that can be done by 12th pass guys… If they want graduates they should had said it before the the exam itself no?… Simply wasting others time.. thanks god i got this 161 mark without any prepration.. else i may feel too bad no?.

Very much disappointed with BOB cut off release…again didnt get the call for interview..god knows whats gonna happen…got 172 in general in Uttarakhand…very much disappointed :( :(

I had read somewhere that Allahabad Bank will recruit 1200 clerk in 2012. It can be true, because they hired 1100 clerk in 2011.

nd 1 more thing is bob is d first bank to giv recruitment notification(if not 3rd 2 announce 5nal cutoff) . That means next banks cutoff has to be around 155 for you cat. Got it dear!!
