IBPS Relaxed Clerical Recruitment Criteria
Candidates who get qualified in IBPS in 2011-12 got upset when Banks had announced that graduation was the minimum criteria for clerical posts, their disappointment has been taken note of and addressed to Mr M.Balachandran who is the Director of Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).
As a result of which three major issues are discussed which are-
1)To postpone the requirment of graduation for the post of clerk, means Non-graduates are eligible for current exam cycle.
2)To reduce the online fees which is to be submitted by the candidates each time they apply for any bank vacancy.
3)To restrict multiple selection of few candidates, so that other candidates can also get chance to appear for different bank interviews.
IBPS(Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) relaxed the Clerical recruitment criteria for the non graduates.
Banks had earlier announced that graduation was the minimum criteria for clerical posts which had upset a number of candidates who were non-graduates and had passed the common exam held for these posts. As nearly 15 per cent of the 5.31 lakh successful candidates were non-graduates.As a result of which it was decided to recommend postponement of higher eligibility criteria(Graduation) for the current exam cycle.
Also,In deference to the demands from candidates, the application fee to be charged by various banks is likely to be reduced from Rs 200 to 100 and from Rs 50 to 20.
The IBPS and banks had also discussed the phenomenon of a few candidates getting multiple offers while a disproportionately large number of lower-ranked candidates did not get any call at all.The IBPS and banks have decided to introduce some measures to restrict it by restrict the joining time given to candidates to around three weeks. If the selected candidates don’t respond or join on the due date, the offer will straightaway be given to the next eligible candidate on the waiting list.
Banks also have been told to keep a waitlist of candidates equal to the number of vacancies. Banks will conduct fresh interviews from amongst those who applied to them to fill up left over vacancies.
It has also been decided that IBPS will provide the details of the varying eligibility criteria with regard to qualification, age, etc., prescribed by different banks while calling for applications for future common written exams.
These action taken by IBPS can relax the candidates,as they are taken in favour of the applying candidates.
We wish great luck to our IBPS candidates and hope for their selection in different banks..

this is best of the best decision taken and shows that people are realy concerned about the qualified candidates.
thanks a lot ibps authorities
now the people who had paid rs. 200, would they be given back refund.
Charging fees twice for recruitment first by IBPS for preliminary selection and secondly by PSU Banks individually and severally from the same bunch of candidates without any any clear cut and uniform criteria for selection for similar grade posts is a mockery of the recruitment process vis-a-vis other premier recruitment and selection bodies like UPSC/SSC/CSIR where talent search is the prime motive for the country’s top administrative, scientific and academic bodies. But in case of clerical/supervisory nature of jobs of clerks/assistant/probationary officers in a Bank there is no need for talent hunt except that meritorious and sincere lot of candidates find place in the most transparent and speedy manner. So to emulate CAT/MAT pattern and thinking that the lowly paid jobs in Banks would attract the talented amongst the unemployed poor youths is a farce with the idea and the scant scheme formulated by the high and mighty never had an iota of taste of being in the shoes of the unemployed lot. Hence what is required urgently is a single stage selection procedure to be handled by a singular body from the application to the final appointment by involving the needy Banks officials with the smallest sums of fees like SSC or UPSC. Thus attitude of the Banks to control independently the second stage of selection afresh from the application stage to the interview and appointment letter stage has to be done away with at the earliest in the mutual interest of both the Banks/IBPS and the vast multitude of unemployed educated youths otherwise the whole idea is likely to be doomed and busted like DSSSB of GNCTD, a huge white elephant with farcical recruitment/selection process, an eyewash and an eyesore!
I’m very thankful to IBPS for it’s decission. It will be a good appertunity for non-graduates to get job.
But many banks have already released notification for recruitement. Is this decission is applicable for those banks? Please give detail information…
Its great decision for all the candidate those who not completed gradution due to economy problem or belongs to remote area. Specialy for female candidate thanks. Pls more info send to me.
good decision and they should also look into the cut off marks matter what ever marks they fix during the notification it may be high or low that must be final it should not be changed while calling for interview
Those non-graduates who have applied for interviews in banks like Bank of India ,which did not set graduation as minimum qualification, will those students get refund for Rs 200 paid
What about PO’s unki fees kyun nai kam kari gayi and wha per to sirf toppers ka hi har bank main interview hua..dis is nt fair
Truly said wht abt PO canditates who have got low scores, will they still have to hang on the middle of the bridge and wait for their destination.
Thanx a lot IBPS….Plz make the prosses more organized and quick!!
Dear Sir,
I have got 119 nos marks in ibps & I am passed 12th with 50% marks and also SC category. can I apply online form in any banks without cutoff mark.pls suggest me & inform for next vacancy.
thanks to IBPS and 19 BANKS
i hope sbko job mile
but banks and ibps ko ye sochna hoga ki toppers har bar interview denge about 300 maximum candidate may be pahunchenge har interview me toh us se upar wale candidates ka kya hoga?
Good decision…further ibps should introduce statewise ranking system ,which will ease all the problems..
really really good decision IBPS.
thanks
thanx
They had taken this decision so that more no of candidates can apply and they can make more money..now tell me if BOB has gave 171 TWS for general category in madhya pradesh against 15 vacancy,,what may be the objective to cut down the cutoff marks.less cut off means more no of candidate will apply…
we are not fool sir….go to hell with your decision..
if you really want to give relaxation then provide it to PO candidates…
good decision.thanks ibps
KYA BAAT . . . KYA BAAT . . . KYA BAAT . . . !!
GRAND SALUTE TO IBPS . . . !!
genuine decision…thanx 2 IBPS.
do not waste your money as below cut off your application will not be considered. Also there is high compition in SC category in many states.
all banks and ibps are looters…..why rs 100? why not it cant be free to apply……????
ibps gave 100% reservatn in regions.against 85% normally all state follows in c nd d catogory jobs………this ibps system sucks…..they r idiots..
we all have seen no. of clerical vacancy by banks.they are not in mood of recruitment.they just wana earn money and make fun of us with ibps
bank of baroda has asked for graduation ..now what ?? whether they will again come up with 10+2 criteria??? and 1 more thing ,,why banks are asking for 12th also,,because in ibps clerk advs they ask for 10 th pass students also…
