IBPS Recruitment 2012 : Specialist Officer Cutoffs Released
IBPS conducted the common written examination for recruitment of Specialist Officer (SOs) on 13th March 2012 for 19 participating banks. The IBPS exam targeted to recruit specialist officers in various fields like IT, Technical, Agriculture, Legal, Marketing, HR, etc. and also in Rashtrabhasha for the banks.

Now IBPS announced the cutoffs in two stages to become eligible for specialist officer post.These cutoffs will be applied-
(i) on standard scores in individual tests.
(ii) on Total Weighted Standard Score.
1)Standard Scores In Individual Test-Candidates have to score minimum of 24 marks(Gen) or 21 marks (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in each section i.e. Reasoning,English Language,General Awareness,Quantitative Aptitude,Professional Knowledge.
2) Total Weighted Standard Score-The Total Weighted Standard Score (TWSS) can be calculated for candidates who qualified in the each individual test as per the cutoffs.
Total Weighted Standard Score can be calculated as-
Standard Scores obtained in [Reasoning + (½ English Language) + General Awareness/ Quantitative Aptitude + (1 ½ Professional Knowledge)]
Apart from scoring 24 marks(Gen) & 21 marks(SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in each test, candidated must have to score these cutoff marks to become eligible for specialist vacancies which is being announced by IBPS now.

2000+seat are yet to be filled before expire of score card.
I dont believe that IBPS is a flawless system. We need to find out what happened to the remaining vacancies. Its almost 9 months we have waited, keeping trust on IBPS and PSBs. Now each one of us has got the right to find out his/ her own ways to explore the reasons for the delay happened in the recruitment of MOs. At this juncture also, one cant tell recruitment will not happen. But there is no point in sitting idle and waiting for others to act on.
IBPS will definately bring gift in this new year to all the marketing candidates.
so cheer up.

Dear Anup, What type of gift you are expecting.As you yourself posted the other day no common interview for present candidates.So,you can expect any gift from PSBs utmost and not from IBPPS.I think let the banks do the gift happen at their own space is one option.While the other option is make them expedite their space by filing RTI to every of them and informing them possibility of PIL from group of candidates.There is no harm in doing this.I will file RTI to each bamk by 2nd or 3rd Jan,2013.

my friend atulya,i am talking about next common specialist officer online exam.
For this year some psb will definitely come. Dont expect good number(vacancy)but we have to compete.more over many marketing candidate may selected in po-2.

Dear Anup, they are bound to fill up at least 1400 posts.The purpose of all this effort is to see that banks should not withhold majr number of vacancy to fill up them by candidates of next exam.I also know banks may play this game with us.Previous chairman of IBPS Mr.Balachandran had given statement that the results were declared in 1:4 ratio.So, they have to appoint at least 1400 mktg. candidates of us. Moreover in response to RTI they will be bound to inform me the number of vacancies they notified to IBPS.If need be in PIL Mr.Balachandran will also be made a party besides IBPS and MD/CMD/CEO of each bank.I will not let them play any trick with us.
thats true. If we take the other posts under specialist category and apply the same 1:4 ratio, out of the passed candidates, it would be roughly 2600 jobs and nearly 2000 vacancies has been already filled. So, the remaining 1400 – 1600 vacancies has to be filled in the remaining months.

Only Sumitava, Joseph,Ashok have to some extent extended support.Others are expressing only their anguish and wish to let it go and put their efforts times and again.I do not know why they accept all this.
next week notification of ibps-cwe specialist officier will come out.
this time we all should score more mark than last year.
Well guyz I phoned the person on the 1st num given by Atulya. The gentleman clearly said me to phone IBPS for these enquiries. They are not concerned with vacancy. However he was kind enough to say that he was not sure whether there would be any MO opening in 2013 SO exam!!! So what does this mean? I advice to all of you to either prepare for PO or else find a sales job in private sector. Or else your career will get ruined if you keep waiting for an IBPS call.They are not concerned with anybodies career.

Dear Sumitava the numbers I mentioned may be are of some officers of IBPS who are not related with Help Desk.After getting these numbers many aspirants might have called on these numbers.That is why the person told you to call IBPS which meant Help Desk number.When I called the person confirmed he was talking from IBPS otherwise I would have hanged up.
Dear Sumitava,the numbers may be belong to some officers of IBPS not associated with Help Desk.Many candidates might have called on these numbers before you.That is why the person told you to call IBPS meaning their Help Desk.Had he not been from IBPS, how could have he told that he was not sure of MO category in next CWE SO? Moreover,the person on pone confirmed me he was talking from IBPS else I would have immediately disconnected the call.

I dont think IBPS will recruit any more candidate from SO.
In Mo out of 6k qualified candidate only 21 vacancy came out.Not even half a percent.We are so helpless even after passing written exam.
Priyankaji one of aspirants of this blog talked to me and told me not to file RTI or go for PIL at present.
Atulya, can you tell the reason why its not good to file RTI now.
Dear Joseph, RTI applications are ready.But,what I observe is that others have no interest in such move barring two or three aspirants.Rather,they are anxiously awaiting next SO CWE notification.What I discussed with him was that in such scenario whether or not it would be right to take such steps as new and old both applicants may blame me for causing hurdles in their efforts.Finally, it was suggested by him to wait for some more time. I myself am feeling morally bound to some extent considering such aspirants.
