IBPS Recruitment 2012 : Specialist Officer Cutoffs Released
IBPS conducted the common written examination for recruitment of Specialist Officer (SOs) on 13th March 2012 for 19 participating banks. The IBPS exam targeted to recruit specialist officers in various fields like IT, Technical, Agriculture, Legal, Marketing, HR, etc. and also in Rashtrabhasha for the banks.

Now IBPS announced the cutoffs in two stages to become eligible for specialist officer post.These cutoffs will be applied-
(i) on standard scores in individual tests.
(ii) on Total Weighted Standard Score.
1)Standard Scores In Individual Test-Candidates have to score minimum of 24 marks(Gen) or 21 marks (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in each section i.e. Reasoning,English Language,General Awareness,Quantitative Aptitude,Professional Knowledge.
2) Total Weighted Standard Score-The Total Weighted Standard Score (TWSS) can be calculated for candidates who qualified in the each individual test as per the cutoffs.
Total Weighted Standard Score can be calculated as-
Standard Scores obtained in [Reasoning + (½ English Language) + General Awareness/ Quantitative Aptitude + (1 ½ Professional Knowledge)]
Apart from scoring 24 marks(Gen) & 21 marks(SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in each test, candidated must have to score these cutoff marks to become eligible for specialist vacancies which is being announced by IBPS now.

As qualified candidate are more than general.But seat are almost half of general.

Friends I called IBPS and a gentleman said that once the exam has been taken, there’s always going to be recruitment to fill up voids. Although he could not give information regarding the number of possible vacancies, but he definitely sounded positive in the phone wire.So I again got back to usual business and started watching cricket with some relief. Well Banks are supposed to protect public money and not dupe them! And most importantly cheating those who are unemployed, reeling under recession and corruption. Regarding PIL I suggest you my friends to wait till december when the courts will be closed due to winter gap. After that we can always hire a lawyer together and push the balls into IBPS courts.My question is when you conduct any exam for recruitment, then why you don’t call candidates for interview and let the passed outs know whether they are in the job or should try the next time! On contrary you are keeping job less students under anxiety and darkness! All bullshit!
po& clerk exam -twice a yr
sp officier- once a yr.
so for po& clerk they complete the process quickly before next exam that happen tobe in 6 months but for specialist officer(marketing officier) next exam is after one year that why bank were not hurry to recruit.so vaccancy will definately come.my contact no-9679136674

Friends,normally from ad to recruitment takes 3 to 4 months.There are 19 PSBs.If ad starts appearing in December,it would mean many banks will place ad at a time.In that case many candidates will miss some interviews as dates might clash.Moreover,same high ranking candidates will appear in interviews because no bank would have completed the process till then.I think the process would have started in at least October. It is already too late.However,wait for a little more.But, be ready for PIL.
Friends,from ad to recruitment takes 3to4 months.If banks do start in December, many ads will appear at a time.In that case many will miss miss interviews owing to dates being clashed.Many top rankers will be seen in different banks as no bank would have completed the process by then.This will mar chances of low rankers.However, wait till December.But be ready for PIL.
score card is valid upto april 2013.means 5 month left.interview will definately come.
for po & clerk all process complete in 6months.so my friends believe on the system.

Well 1 thing is for sure there’s no common interview for 5000+ Marketing qualifiers. If that was so, the formalities would have been done much before. Might be banks are waiting for retail FDI to push through and then take us to market their banking ideas in retail sector! Pardon me if I am stretching this a little far, but who knows our fortune is in those files. Any comment on this would be appreciated.
It is good to be optimistic.Effect of FDI in retail and benefit that PSBs may derive will be seen after 05 years at least.However,I wish to share a success story in my recent effort against BOB-Manipal exam.I filed RTI and RTI First Appeal.They are providing me name,roll no.,on line exam marks interview marks of all the candidates who qualified for interview.THE reason is that one candidate from Gen category who secured 52 marks in on line exam has been selected in the first list whereas others from Gen category securing 80 and above were not selectd even in the 08th list.After scruitinising the list I will refer the matter to CVC New Delhi.Anyone securing high marks and not selected may post his/her detail here. But pl no wrong information.
IBPS RRB interview has started.many of the bank has started the procedure. Their exam was held in sep 2012 & our ibps marketing exam 6 months ago i.e on mar 2012 but we are still in………..

Dear Anup,I am sorry.Your information is true.I called today IBPS and this time the person on the phone vouched your information.Every time whoever picks call provides contradictory information.However,once again sorry to you and other mktg.aspirants.
Anup u r right. there’s no common interview fr us. may be prepare for 2013 SO if there’s any mktg post available! The concerned person talking on the mob number given above told clearly that vacancy and final selection is not in the concerned books of IBPS or IBA. So back to square one!!!
Dear friends,at least I am not going to spare anyone for duping unemployed youths even if nobody of you people supports me.Govt has major share in PSBs and to large extent it is responsible for this cheating.IBPS says exam was conducted as per vacancies notified by banks but recruitment process is solely concern of the banks.For PIL more concrete evidence will be required.So,I am filing RTI application through one of my friend to all the 19 PSBs.By the end of Jan,2013,I will get response from these banks.Only then the picture will be clear that which one indented how many vacancies for this category,why they scrapped them.If PIL is accepted it will create history.
As per the IBPS Director, nearly 4000 specialist officers vacancies exists across the Banks. Go through the link http://m.thehindubusinessline.com/industry-and-economy/banking/article3367641.ece/. Till date, notifications for less than 2000 vacancies has been announced by the Banks, including 21 Marketing officer vacancies in Bank of India and for other posts under Specialist officer category. Almost 14 Banks has announced notifications. How Banks are going to fill the remaining 2000 vacancies/ or these vacancies are meant for Marketing?
