IBPS PO-II Preferences Registration Open – Make Your Choice
Common Interviews for IBPS PO-II results has already been declared by IBPS. Now as decided IBPS will obtain order of preference of banks from the successful candidates through a registration process which will be starting from 20th February 2013. The registration process will go on till 28th February 2013.
Click here to REGISTER YOUR PREFERENCES.
Before registering preferences go through the following points which will help you to make a better choice.
1. How many Banks can one prefer in the Order of Preference ?
One can register order of your preference for all the 20 Participating Banks & ECGC.
2. Can I give posting location preference?
There is no such thing in this selection process. Some websites misguiding the candidates by saying that you will have to give posting location preference also. This is absolutely wrong.
3. Which banks to choose among the participating Banks in IBPS PO 2012?
This is very common question among the IBPS PO 2012 passed candidates. While giving preferences, one has to think about salary & allowances and also about posting location.
- Salary: Salary and allowances are more or less same for all participating banks. So, no need to worry about that.
- Posting Location: It is best to choose banks which have more number of branches in your state. For example, In Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Bank have more number branches compare to others. It is the lead bank in many areas. So that your chances of posting in your state will be high. Similarly, State Bank of Travancore has more branches in Kerala than any other state. Keep this in mind so that you will be allotted the Bank of your region.
- PO has to work anywhere in country. There is policy that one has to work out of state for 3 years. It is better to go out of state in the early stage because it will be better for learning and thus for your career.
4. What is the allotment procedure for IBPS Bank PO 2012 with respect to preferences?
Allotment is based on three things- a) Vacancies, b) One’s preferences, & c) eligibility criteria set by the specific bank. Also, keep one thing in mind that in this process the seat allotment is completely based on the Merit Basis.
For Example:
- If 1st ranker opted for PNB and he has all the eligibility norms stipulated by PNB, then he will get PNB. If there are no vacancies in PNB or if he is not fit for eligibility criteria of PNB (Like age and Graduation %), his next preference will be considered for selection.
- In case of reserved candidates: If OBC candidate got marks above the General cutoff marks and his 1st preference is also satisfied in general vacancies, he will get allotment from General vacancy. If in his preferred bank, general vacancies are finished, he will be selected from OBC vacancies of respective bank (if there are any). If the OBC vacancies are also finished, then his next preference will be considered.
If you are still confused about the allotment process then leave all on IBPS. No need to worry more about the bank allotment process, the candidates will be made aware the allotment order list and procedure in detail after the final allotment list of banks have been published. There has been more transparency and the IBPS is striving hard continuously to implement a better recruiting system and let’s leave the rest to them.
5. What is the next step after allotment?
After allotment is done, final joining will be decided by the banks individually. They will call candidates to join bank whenever they want to absorb the candidates. It may take 2 to 6 months & will vary from bank to bank.
Please Note:
- Depending on the vacancies in each bank of one’s preference, a successful candidate will receive through a computerized system an offer from ONE of the participating PSB.
- Vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining offer, will be filled from among the remaining candidates through the same procedure as mentioned above. A waitlist will be prepared from among the remaining successful candidates which will be valid upto 31.03.2014 or allotment of the next round whichever is earlier.
- Candidates must produce the necessary documents in support of their identity and eligibility pertaining to nationality, age, educational qualification, qualifying marks, category etc.

@jbhunt-itna bada example dene k baad niche ye likhna prevention is better than cure isse gals kya conclusion nikalne wali h buddhijeevi deepak ji and jbhunt ji plz tell me
@ maxx-well bhai beside all dat it is u who gonna decide wat is best for u and i feel that u are very good a judging wat good or bad for u so that is it
@max… it is yaar!! totally safe,,ekdum,,provided they shud know where to draw the line ,,while interacting with sm filthy customers n sme of ur seniors i nthe bank,,!!,,
n yes there myt b sm difficulty here n there,bt ye sb toh “easily jhel-able ” hota hai yaar,,!!
tho there r many instances i can tell u tht happend with my female colleagues,,which were too cheap on part f the custoemrs n evn sm brnch heads,,bt these thngs happen rarely,,!! so be happyie n smile ,,:) banking,,u will love itt !!! :)

@deepak-agree-and this is wat i want to say.its our ability how to tackle with this problm.and we will work as a team in bank so we can support our female collegues in any situation.
maxx-and yeah one more thing simply reading this blog”s comments i feel no one is so dumb and idiot coming to any conclusions right away one has to go through it so there is ntg to worry about
maxx- and i appereciate ur concern for others nd they hav to decide 4r themselves wat they need to do and wat not
K guys leave this topic.today i got a reply from ibps of my mail about the concern of cutoff.they replied”no change in cut-off.how can it be possible if allotment changes than automatically cutoff will be changed.
@maxx- dont know wat is in store 4r us wit ibps they are irritating us in every way possible.
@maxx.. wht i meant by ‘Prevention is btttr…’ is simple. 4 an unemployd candidate th post like PO is great blessing. he is prepared 4 anything to safe & suppose aperson now is in good/ safe position, drawing an avrage salary & no financial burden(exp; a girl/man working as a clerk in PSbank near to her home & she joined as a PO & postd in othr state. wht will be her condition?Thr r lot of candidte who r ready to join as a PO in a bank, (who r already wrking in bttr positions undr state & PSU) only bks in a fallacy tht a bank PO draw ‘huge’ salary & allowances & It’s 100% sure tht if I’m atleast got a job in my state psc/ any othr PSU I’ll defntly nvr join any bank. But I don’t hve any choice now. So I’m ready to face th fate.
@maxx, a provisionally allotted candidate don’t have th right to blame a person who is working as a PO mor thn 6 mnths. Bks, a provisionally allotted candidate is still out of th system. If he blame a PO who is working is just like th viewers who r watching Cricket match just blaming the players 4 thr performance. So be Confident,..but don’t be over.
Dear Sir,
I m one of the candidates who has been allotted a provisional seat,,in one of the banks,,and after the allotments being in abeyance, kindly confirm to us whether the revised allotments myt result in increase in cutoff and candidates lyk us loosing a seat???
Also, let us know the expected date of revised allotments from IBPS.
Waiting for ur prompt reply.
Dear Candidate,
No change in Cut-off.
All the selected candidates may get allotment of Banks afresh.
Expected by March end.
Director

dEepak, great…. but to w8 march end.
@vbn-take it easy dear pata nahi kya kya bole ja rahe ho yr.chalo ek baat batao u said that there are many who are in a good position under state and psu ok so why do they want to join bank?dont they know what are they going to do.ohhhhh only you are able to know that and they dont know anything.everyone is looking for better thats why they applied for po aur ha unhe experience h to wo jante h which is better for them.aur rahi baat cricket match ki..hahahaha…to hum viewers nahi h wo h jo team me select hona chahte h ye jante huye bhi ki kitna mushkil h waha survive karna.
@vbn,, : 12-13 days agaain,,, to us it is 12*24*60*60 seconds …. :/ each second,,is leading to desparation
@deepak, why depression. ibps gave us th promise tht we r in…. thn go & clbrate 2 week.
@deepak-which bank did you get in previous allotmnt.
