Common Interviews for IBPS PO-II results has already been declared by IBPS. Now as decided IBPS will obtain order of preference of banks from the successful candidates through a registration process which will be starting from 20th February 2013. The registration process will go on till 28th February 2013.
Click here to REGISTER YOUR PREFERENCES.
Before registering preferences go through the following points which will help you to make a better choice.
1. How many Banks can one prefer in the Order of Preference ?
One can register order of your preference for all the 20 Participating Banks & ECGC.
2. Can I give posting location preference?
There is no such thing in this selection process. Some websites misguiding the candidates by saying that you will have to give posting location preference also. This is absolutely wrong.
3. Which banks to choose among the participating Banks in IBPS PO 2012?
This is very common question among the IBPS PO 2012 passed candidates. While giving preferences, one has to think about salary & allowances and also about posting location.
- Salary: Salary and allowances are more or less same for all participating banks. So, no need to worry about that.
- Posting Location: It is best to choose banks which have more number of branches in your state. For example, In Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Bank have more number branches compare to others. It is the lead bank in many areas. So that your chances of posting in your state will be high. Similarly, State Bank of Travancore has more branches in Kerala than any other state. Keep this in mind so that you will be allotted the Bank of your region.
- PO has to work anywhere in country. There is policy that one has to work out of state for 3 years. It is better to go out of state in the early stage because it will be better for learning and thus for your career.
4. What is the allotment procedure for IBPS Bank PO 2012 with respect to preferences?
Allotment is based on three things- a) Vacancies, b) One’s preferences, & c) eligibility criteria set by the specific bank. Also, keep one thing in mind that in this process the seat allotment is completely based on the Merit Basis.
For Example:
- If 1st ranker opted for PNB and he has all the eligibility norms stipulated by PNB, then he will get PNB. If there are no vacancies in PNB or if he is not fit for eligibility criteria of PNB (Like age and Graduation %), his next preference will be considered for selection.
- In case of reserved candidates: If OBC candidate got marks above the General cutoff marks and his 1st preference is also satisfied in general vacancies, he will get allotment from General vacancy. If in his preferred bank, general vacancies are finished, he will be selected from OBC vacancies of respective bank (if there are any). If the OBC vacancies are also finished, then his next preference will be considered.
If you are still confused about the allotment process then leave all on IBPS. No need to worry more about the bank allotment process, the candidates will be made aware the allotment order list and procedure in detail after the final allotment list of banks have been published. There has been more transparency and the IBPS is striving hard continuously to implement a better recruiting system and let’s leave the rest to them.
5. What is the next step after allotment?
After allotment is done, final joining will be decided by the banks individually. They will call candidates to join bank whenever they want to absorb the candidates. It may take 2 to 6 months & will vary from bank to bank.
Please Note:
- Depending on the vacancies in each bank of one’s preference, a successful candidate will receive through a computerized system an offer from ONE of the participating PSB.
- Vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining offer, will be filled from among the remaining candidates through the same procedure as mentioned above. A waitlist will be prepared from among the remaining successful candidates which will be valid upto 31.03.2014 or allotment of the next round whichever is earlier.
- Candidates must produce the necessary documents in support of their identity and eligibility pertaining to nationality, age, educational qualification, qualifying marks, category etc.

@nishesh agreed
Vbn wat u say about cut off
Vbn wat u say fdabout cut off
@nishesh.singh, no man thr is seprate degree % percentage criteria. & no frthr any criteria in any bank. so ibps conduct common interview. Wht was in th common interview was th final criteria. Evn ibps replied to an email regarding th degree % criteria, is tht thr is no % criteria in PO2. So it may due to some techinical errors in alltmnt etc;. But evn a small error, to solve this thy hv to start from th scrap. so it will take time. may be 2 days or 10-15 days.
@Rekha singh, th ibps sent sms/email to ‘allotd’ candidates only. So don’t think th cut-off will change. If any regrttd candidte tells tht he also got th ‘Cancellation’ messge. thn thr is some hope. But even they want to allot more seats(vacancy increased) thr is no need to suspend whole alltmnt. they can reallot to regrttd candidates. But u people will dfntly allotd with in 2-5-7 months.
@VBN: IBPS only provide mi minimum criteria, not final criteria…Final criteria provided by bank to bank…It was also mentioned in final allotment that you must fulfill the bank eligibility criteria….
IBPS can do anything. This is clearly mentioned in notification that IBPS has the right to cancel the allotment…jab pura exam cancel kara diya to ye kya cheej hai………
@Terminator, I’m fine man. 4 th remaining 1% candidates + ibps irresponsibility, we r in tension… Till 12/march- tension due to in/ out. from 14/ march- tension due to, wht hppns next??
@nishesh.singh, Thr r 21 high court + 1 supreme court in our country + we 45000 people. in th opposite side 1 ibps (evn regstrd undr charitable society). we can see who will win. & if so, it will be th last recruitmnt process by th ibps.
@nishesh singh- i m agree with u.every bank has their own criteria too so now may be top banks are asking for 60% in graduation.
@nishesh.singh, no yar.. u feel so bks of u r tension. thr is words as u said, ” that you must fulfill the bank eligibility criteria”. If u r so confidence pls copy paste tht lines..
@@nishesh.singh….FROM PRFNCE SUBMITTED PAGE: I hereby declare that the preferences indicated by me above are final and I understand and accept that no option for further change in this regard will be available to me. If allotted/ appointed by a Participating organization, I am willing to serve anywhere in India depending on the organisation’s requirement and shall abide by the service and conduct rules of the organization as applicable from time to time. I understand that if I do not avail the offer of appointment from the Participating Orgaisations or if it is detected that I do not satisfy the eligibility criteria at any stage of the recruitment process my candidature/ chance in the process will be forfeited.
@@nishesh.singh… ‘I do not satisfy the eligibility criteria at any stage’. HERE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA MEANS: Eligibity critria fixed by ibps ie; if u r undrgraduate, caste certificate, exam pass date etc; tht’s all…
because many candidates of age between 28-30 have less than 60% in graduation and it is believed that one who is unemployed at this age must be not so effective as youth who reached at this position in lesser time and youth have mostly above 60% thats why in many more well reputed test chances are fixed for this reason.so may be top banks want 60% and they have right as this is already mentioned in notification about individual criteria of bank
@nishesh.singh……FROM notification, regarding obtaining Preferences for;…. Please note: (i) candidates who are issued an offer by a participating bank must necessarily provide all the
relevant documents in original in support of their identity and eligibility as indicated in the online
application form for CWE PO/MT-II. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a
candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false
information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. (ii)
Merely indicating preference for Participating organisations does not constitute offer of appointment from
IBPS/ Participating organizations (iii) Any request for change in allotment will not be entertained. (iv) A
candidate who is successful in interview will forfeit his/her candidature/ chance for the process if he/she
does not (1) exercise the option of indicating preferences through the prescribed process (2) avail the
offer of appointment from the Participating organisation.

i am allotted allahabad bank in first allotmnt and it is clearly mentioned there that The provisional allotment is subject to your fulfilling the eligibility criteria for Participating Organisations and identity verification to the satisfaction of ALLAHABAD BANK .
@MAXX.. U r view is only applicable in PVT sector not in Govt/PSU. In Govt & PSU thr is strict a rule tht at th final stage of selction th age of th candidate must be considrd. Suppose 3 candidates got same mark. in this case th candidate who is more older is given to th first prfrnce. Banks r usually avoids youngrs bks,thy know tht olders r more serious in work. Bks it’s deals with money & thr is less chnce tht an oldr will leave th organisation….
@maxx, Till u get th appointmnt lttr from th organisation u r selection is PROVISIONAL. Till u complting u r probation period u r appointmnt is PROVISIONAL. Thr is no deep conspiracy in th word ‘PROVISIONAL’. Tht’s only a techinical term..
@VBN: Bhai kabi dusron ki b sun liya kar………R u giving first time IBPS exam????? IBPS write these time of statement at each time…..Last year too IBPS used minimum criteria like this year….By the way this is our own thinking….We can not force to any one to think like us…
@nishesh.singh, now read this lines care fully…(ii)
Merely indicating preference for Participating organisations does not constitute offer of appointment from
IBPS/ Participating organizations (iii) Any request for change in allotment will not be entertained…. if th IBPS decision is final in th allotmnt thn why they suspend th current allotmnt?. It’s sure tht if th top scorer approach th court, it will badly affect th IBPS. First undrstnd in our country thr is a writtn constitution. No one has (especially an org. working 4 PSU) has no right to breach tht rules & regulations. If so why IBPS applied Roastr systm of reservation in recrtmnt. Bks thy applied it bks of govt. rules & instructions.
i agree wid @VBN.agar hame pta hota ki particular bank ka criteria kya h to ham preferences usi k according dete na..hamne to preference ibps k according di h.
vbn bhai…nilesh si kh rha hai ..tm kuch b apne man se boltw ho .sunte kisi kind nei . …phle rooster k picche pde the nei ho skta ..
bt hua na .ab 60% k .yha tak ki banks ko private hi kh the ho .kese bhai;
dear private m reservation nei hota ..jesa kind yha par hai
@nishesh.singh, last year process was total diffrnt. they only conduct exam. But this time u know…….
aur ab @nishesh tumhe koi bank mila aur usne tumhe koi criteria fullfill na krne ki vajah se forfeit kiya..tab to tumhare pass options hote hue bhi kuch nahi kr paoge..
@mamraj, if IBPS want to follow th 60% degree criteria 4 a particular bank. they can easily disable tht bank from our prfrnce option, if u r undr 60% in degree. bt they didn’t do tht.
ankur pre franc kese b do …ydi pnb 60% mang rha h aur Tm eligible nei ho to next prefranc hi 1 ho jayegi esa hi aage
vbn and ankur ye glti Hui hogi tb hi to canceled hua hoga na . aur preference ka frk nei pdega …ydi eligible nei h to next prefrance count kind jayegi
@ankur- bhai preference se kya fark padta ultimately wahi bank milti jiske liye elligible percentage h ab wo chahe 1st preference hoti ya second ya koi aur.
@mamraj. think logically. Suppose u got 64 combined score but u didn’t get alloted but 62 wala allotd hogaya bks of degree % criteria wht will you do??
bank allot hone k bd koi bank %criteria nei kr skta .Jo Hoga phle Hoga…may b isi wjh se canceled hua hai. ki according to banks criteria hi candidates allot ho
