Today, in first time of IBPS history Common Interviews were conducted for IBPS PO 2013 for the candidates who cleared Common written Examination (CWE-II) for the recruitment of Probationary officers in Public Sector Banks conducted by IBPS in the month of June 2012.
Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) has been authorised by the competent authorities and participating public sector banks to hold common interview from 14 January 2013 onwards. These common interviews will be conducted as scheduled from 14 January 2013 till February starting and the result of these interviews will be announced in mid February.

Hello! Champ, Just tell me one thing what is the use of interview if your CWE marks will decide your interview marks, then IBPS should set marks with CWE for interview and give the final list and for your information 80:20 means if anyone gets (“Example 150 marks in CWE out of 250 and 70 marks out of 100 in interview) then total marks (CWE+Interview) will be 80% of 150 + 20% of 70 which means 120+14= 134 or The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Interview out of 100 for each category means they will convert both CWE+Interview Marks into 100 and give 80% of CWE and 20% of Interview to decide final merit and there is no other way to decide if IBPS is applying 80:20 for POII and for your information last Time BOB did Same for selection converting total marks to 100. Hope u understand or wait for result
1) @hopeful,@shiv shakti guys interview is a formality in actual.. probation period is meant for that thing only.
2) maine likha h ibps po-2 notification me common interview nai likha tha but hua na,so things of po-3 which they can implement in po-2 they will.
3)androidanshu: android se bahar nikal bhai thoda maths padh leta toh score acha aajata tera.
example:150 off 250=48 off 80
and 70 off 100= 14 off 20
so merit score=62 off 100.

Yar jb 80:20 ka ratio h to obviously written jyada matter karega….bt interview marks apki interview performance k basis par diye jaaynge na hi written k according…..
Guys….neone have ne idea regarding how we r gonna giv preferences….whether each bank r gonna giv details regarding package/bond/probation period etc…????…plz share
@peter parker
bank wil giv their notification in which all details wil be ther then preferenc will be ask by ibps.so i think ther shuld also be details about bond and salary.
Frnds , those who hav read the common interview notification carefully could hav understood that passing both CWE and Common interview is important for
final selection. 80:20 ratio they hav implemented for po3. applying 80:20 ration in po2 is only a probability.
if we take into consideration the level of score range in po2, its clear that very less ppl hav got 160+ and most ppl are in the range of 140-160. so if CWE is the decision maker for the final rank list the final scores ll be marginal as the interview marks wont make much difference.
So i strongly believe that the ratio ll change accordingly and final selection ll be based on
1.CWE marks+
2.CI marks+
3.Graduation marks
4.banking exp & related professional quali.,if any.
Hello guys… as we all know that there is 80:20 for final merit and there was no CI mentioned in PO II notification, but they started CI, reason multiple selection, but as per notification by IBPS on 12/12/12
they have mentioned that Candidates. “successful in both the CWE-PO/MT-II and Common Interview will be listed in the order of merit” But wat is the use of making CWE :CI weightage (80:20) and i think no one will be disqualified from CI.
As per my knowledge there is no bank who will ask for Banking exp or banking related qualification and as far as Graduation concern, some banks will definitely ask for 55 or 60% in graduation but i dont know why they asking for higher Percent in Graduation as SBI which is also a Largest PSU and giving high salary and other benefits only asking for simple Graduate as per recent PO Circular for Recruitment 2013, I want to know Why Finance Ministry is not looking SBI Circular, why there is Partiality in IBPS for different Banks or SBI has nothing to do with Finance Ministry
@android, SBI is the toughest of all exams, clearing it itslf is a big thing thats y they r keeping less % pass marks for graduation.
Banks should keep a mini qualifyng(atleast 50%) % criteria for slection, otherwise wats the diff between a person scoring 70-80+ % and 40-50%.
The real fact is that there is no scarcity for qualified graduates in India, even if ibps/sbi etc raise graduation % to 60, there ll b much competition then also.
The world is so competitive and there is no point in blaming each other.
Low scorers ya high scorers every1 ll try to get the best bank(with better sal-perks etc…), like that evry bank ll also try to get the best possible/qualified resources for them…
I agree, SBI is Toughest but PO II paper was also toughest, as per law there should be one Eligibility for one post and about toughness then same Govt. making rules for IAS Exam and increasing Percentage bias decision as it does not give fair chance to candidates having lower percent
I too agree that ,qualifying for the written test gvt & banks can keep lower % and for final selection individual banks can hav their own criteria…
The govt. ll revise the qualification criteria, only if po3 system fails., means if they ddnt get much qualified candidates having the notified qualifications.
but do u guys think that ll happen???
By the time they realise their faults, many candidates ll be disqualified due to age factor.
Govt.is not being ethical in recruitment processes…i don knw hw we youth can change the corrupted system.
This is my point why there is different eligibility criteria for different banks for same post. and i think Govt alone not responsible as we all know about SSC recruitment which is also under Central Govt. have same eligibility criteria even for different posts but i dnt know why Banks doing this.
@android , for written exam all banks can hav same eligibilty criteria but for final selection evry bank can hav their own criteria. bcoz the facilities, work culture, career growth etc are not same for all banks…
so we cannot insist to hav same criteria for final selction.
My point is evry1 should get a chance to write the exam irrespective of their graduation marks and age should be kept as 21-30.
Final selection- each bank can hav their own individual requirements. The post may be the same but we should look @ other factors also like career growth, employee benefits etc…
@singhraju……….thanks
