Today, in first time of IBPS history Common Interviews were conducted for IBPS PO 2013 for the candidates who cleared Common written Examination (CWE-II) for the recruitment of Probationary officers in Public Sector Banks conducted by IBPS in the month of June 2012.
Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) has been authorised by the competent authorities and participating public sector banks to hold common interview from 14 January 2013 onwards. These common interviews will be conducted as scheduled from 14 January 2013 till February starting and the result of these interviews will be announced in mid February.
During the interview process, participating candidates are requested to produce the relevant documents in support of their identity and eligibility pertaining to nationality, age, educational qualifications, qualifying marks, category etc. So, don’t forget to take these documents with you on your interview day.
We request all the participant candidates of 14th January 2013 IBPS PO Common Interview program to share their experience in this post. So, that other candidates can get some help in preparing for their interviews which are scheduled in coming days.

161 Obc .. interview ka hi mujhe dr h yr.. itne marks la kr bhi ek interview se fail ho kr sabhi banks se bahar nikal jana .. fati padi h yr ..
Guys result will b out in mid feb….means around 15-20????
Guys I think Final Merit will be based on CWE+Interview Marks where CWE is 250 and Interview is 100 marks which will be halved then final merit will be based on out of 300, reason behind this if 80:20 will be taken then only higher scorer will get allotment in PSU’s which means there is no use of Interview.

Hii to all…
IBPS has clearly mentioned abt the selection criteria in their CI notification. The below mentioned is the 3rd paragraph of CI notification.
“Candidates, successful in both the CWE-PO/MT-II and Common
Interview will be listed in the order of merit. Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his/ her preference, a successful
candidate will receive through a computerised system an offer from one of the Participating PSBs”.
The exact percentage division of CWE and CI (80:20-our expectation) is not mentioned in the CI notification.
So the % can be even change to 70:30 or 60:40, as they have clearly mentioned that successfully clearing the CI is also important to get final selection.
All these are our assumptions, everthn ll be clear in mid of february wen they release the rank list. Plz wait patiently until then and hope for the best.
152 gen kuch ummed hai……yadi kinhi ko kuch idea ho to plssss tell meeeeeeeeee
@Amrendra, I’m as tensed as you are, but if your interview went reasonably well, you should get through.

Subject: Regarding methodology of Recruitment of Officers and Clerks to be conducted by the IBPS.
I am directed to refer to your letter dated 29.08.2012 and to your e-mail dated 18.09.2012 on the subject cited above and to say that the proposed scheme of IBPS regarding revised process for recruitment of clerical and officer cadre for PSBs has been examined in this Department. It has been decided to broadly agree with the proposed scheme of IBPS and further, convey as under :
i. IBPS and PSBs would ensure common eligibility criteria for all
PSBs for subsequent examinations of Clerks and Officers as
follows:
Age: 20-28 years (for both officer and clerical cadre)
Educational Graduation or equivalent for clerical cadre &
Qualification: Graduation or equivalent with 60% marks for
Officers
Others: Computer literacy mandatory for both Clerks and
Officers
ii. there would be a common interview for all PSBs. IBPS will co-ordinate the conduct of common interview with the help of Nodal Banks and thereafter IBPS will declare the results;
iii relative weightage for written examination and interview will be 80:20. This shall be used to decide the final merit list;
iv. IBPS will ask the candidates to provide the order of their preference of Banks. Based on the merit list and the order of preference provided by the candidate, candidates will be allotted to the Banks;
v. one time application fee of Rs. 400, for conduct of examination, interview etc. will be collected by IBPS;
-2-
vi. all common written examinations may be conducted on-line;
vii. one examination for each cadre may be held annually.
2. IBPS is requested to follow modalities for operationalising the scheme as decided in its meeting with HR Heads of Public Sector Banks on 14.09.2012.
3. IBPS may also ensure that this new format of Common Written Examination (CWE) is well publicized.
4. Further, before going ahead in the matter IBPS would ensure all necessary preparatory steps for introducing this new format of examination/recruitment process.
Yours faithfully,

@nihitsingh
from where u get this letter.
Factual comparision of IBPS 1 and IBPS 2 PO :
Total no. of PASSED candidates scoring ABOVE 140: 57600(IBPS 1) and 40365(IBPS 2)
150 – 159 : 17000(IBPS 1) and 12700(IBPS 2)
160 – 170 : 9300(IBPS 1) and 4620(IBPS 2)
170+ : 4300(IBPS 1) and 2058(IBPS 2)
Now consider the below mentioned points before reaching ur respective conclusions:
> The toughness level of both IBPS 1 & 2
> The no. of vacancies in IBPS 1 i.e. 20,000+
> Above mentioned figures include all catagories
> Scores called for interview of IBPS 1 and hopefully selected dropped till 158 I guess and vacancies still not filled.
NOTE: The source of the above mentioned figures is 100% genuine but the figures may vary 200-300 (plus or minus) coz it was a very tedious job to calculate to exact precision…Ab manna ho to mano, nahi manna ho to mat mano. Discuss karna ho to karo, nahi karna ho to mat karo but plz dont abuse me coz I’m myself very nervous and I understand how it feels if somebody tries to play with anyone’s feelings so I wont spread any rumour or threat…These figures are genuine and accurate.
@singhraju, the above circular is there in Ministry of Finance website.
But its applicable from PO 3 only.
@naveen1
what is the ratio of written nd interveiw in po 2.do u have any idea or any info?
@all my score 173(gen)
interview was below avg(not good)
actually i hv done BE(ME) in 2009 and then worked in private firm for 2 years but didnt shown experience(dont hv relieving letter) so they were constantly stressing on 3 1/2 years gap after BE .I said i was preparing but they were not convinced at all.
so wat u puys think wat r my chances??
really tensed for the results as i really need a job no other option is there for me right now.
@singhraju,
PO2 is full of uncertainities n surprises yaar. nobody knws wat exactly ibps guys gona do with publishing the final merit list and final selection.
as of now, we can assume that cwe:ci ratio as 80:20 or even change to 70:30 as they hav clearly mentioned in the CI notification that clearing both cwe and Ci is important for final selection.
One thing is clear that ibps wont let the po1 shortcomings(multiple selection etc…) to happen with po2.
So lets wait till mid of feb and hope for a better result.
@ hopeful
your calculations are almost right as we hav seen similar sorts of calculations in other sites also.
Out of 61k passed po2, there are around 40k candidates abv 140. We are expecting a mini of 25k recruitment this year due to large vacancies in psu banks out of retirements/branch expansion/po1 vacant seats etc…
So all those who hav cleared po2 with good academics and passion abt banking can get into the banking system this year if each bank comes with 0.5k-2k vacancies like corporation bank announced recently.
@naveen1 which vacancies of corporation bank , you r talking about?
@all my score 173(gen)

@enggbanker,
corporation bank has said in a public release recently(i guess in dec ’12) that they ll recruit around 2k POs this year. U can check business newspapers, u ll get the full news.
Why u ddnt show experience, u could hav giv a declaration abt submitting the experience certificates at a later date.
Anyways u hav got excellent score in PO2 , so keep ur hopes alive u ll def get the job.
80:20 ka he ratio h.. (like common interview bhi po-3 se hone wala tha and was not mentioned in po-2 notification but held in po-2).
apke jitne marks h utna he interview me milega.
if score marginal tab interview might help a bit..
otherwise all is fixed.
@ Champ, wat do u mean jitne marks hai utna hi interview mein milega? I don’t understand wat u mean.
@krish: if you got 150 off 250 then you wud get AROUND 30 off 50 in interview..
@champ: then what is the benefit of interview…..is it just a formality….
Hi champ……kindly dnt misguide us….if u r applying po3 rules here so there shud b a criteria of 60 percnt marks in graduation also…. ???? Kindly Let ibps decide…dont write such fake comments….
