IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has changed the way bank exams are conducted in India. IBPS now conducts a common written exam (CWE) for PO selection in 19 participating PSU banks in India. These exams got tremendous response with over 7.5 Lakh applicants in IBPS PO / MT Exam held on 17 June, 2012. please some one file petition in high court or supreme court against this 55/50% criteria…and believe me judgement will b in our favour..it has happend in similer case recenty ….i cant do because i cant afford…..

Graduation 55% criteria is for aggregate percentage of marks or the honours marks for which degree is awarded? plz. help…

While applying for syndicate bank PO,it shows my registration no and dob as an invalid login. but as for my knowledge it is exactly what i had.
what can i do sir? Kindly bring me an idea..Also i am eligible for syndicate bank po.
I have 137 score – OBC – and 72% in Degree.
mene hee publish kiya tha.. and I have written to many newspapers also.. I am not an aspirant for the banks but yes its an Irony that many students scored more than 160 in IBPS exams but they cant appear for all 18 banks out of 19. Send more emails to IBPS they can only deal with the issue.. also write to editors of popular daily newspapers. And if anyone can file a PIL in Bombay High Court then it can work as mostly banks come under maharashtra jurisdiction. Surely favour will be in Your side as IBPS has mentioned simple graduation. when IBPS clearly knows that 18 banks have specific graduation marks requirement it has clearly shown in the advertisement. out of total passed 1 lac candidates there are like 10% who doesnt have 50% marks in graduation. They all are cheated.

hi all,
i have a score of 175/250 and 207/300 but only 54.2% in graduation. When i got the IBPS score, everyone was of the opinion that i would definitely get selected. But all my dreams shattered when i read the notifications from banks. Will I be able to apply for any of the 19 banks? I agree with you that IBPS didn’t mention regarding the percentage in graduation, but they had mentioned that it is upto the banks to decide the eligibility. is there any use in filing case? Will the court give judgement in our favour? Even if it does, how soon can we expect the judgement?
We should let Union bank know about the problem.

@prateek:you need to be polite to the concerns of others. if you had been in our situation, what you would have done?And regarding ‘framing of sentence in english’, can you be sure that those who scored above 55% in graduation is good at framing sentences? i think you scored very less in IBPS and that shows ur level of knowledge. And for your kind information, i dont have a 55% aggregate in graduation but my IBPS score is 175/250 and 207/300. And my engish score is 43/50. I bet there are more like me who are more eligible than you to become a PO.

many of we have the same problem and we have to solve it because it was not mentioned in the advt. of IBPS. The required Ed. qualification was a degree in any discipline. So,it injustice to the qualified candidates.Our effort is fruitless.
In the Advt. you will see “B. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA(as on 01.07.2011):- ……………each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/ qualifying criteria:- I. Nationality / Citizenship: II.Age (As on 01.07.2011), age relax, DEFINITION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES,ect” then “C. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (as on 01.07.2011)
A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification
recognized as such by the Central Government.”It means that educational Qualification does not come under B i.e. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA.It means this is injustice to the qualified candidates.So,judgement will in our favour.
