IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has changed the way bank exams are conducted in India. IBPS now conducts a common written exam (CWE) for PO selection in 19 participating PSU banks in India. These exams got tremendous response with over 7.5 Lakh applicants in IBPS PO / MT Exam held on 17 June, 2012. why bank set a minimum graduation marks criteria for ibps po interview
i have scored 136 as total weightage score and my percentage in graduation is 56.33 and i belong to obc category. can any one say me the chances of mine to get job in any bank? my contact no. is 09774177842

dear sarika,
the weighted mark is calculated as taking total mark of reasonong, quants, gk, computer and taking half mark of english and descriptive. so ur weightd score comes to 123. u can apply for union bank only nw.

@poonam7: U appeared on May,2011 but u passed on August. It is clearly mentioned that passing date should be on or before 01.07.2011, so unfortunately u will not be eligible till next IBPS PO(April,2012) result announced. After that u will surely eligible to apply. Please hv patience.
@prashant: IBPS is only responsible for conducting CWE for PO. It has no responsibility or authority to conduct interview for final selection. Thats why it has clearly mentioned in the Advt. that banks will make final selection with their own criteria in terms of age, educational qualification etc. All of u who r suffering from graduation % will definitely get chance of interview in some banks who don’t bother the graduation %. so relax, and prepare well for interview, bcz marks of interview will play the decisive role.

@Shilpi, first check the statement, it was mentioned that “May me exam tha”, now its depend upon ur own thinking, whether appearing in exam means passing the exam or not, secondly, its true that if u hv any document mentioning ur pass status on or before 01.07.2011, thats fine,go ahead. lastly, to elaborate the advt. u need not to be a banker.right.

IBPS exam dene ke liye graduation compulsory he..agar graduation me aggrigate 55% se upaer ho to aur achha he..

and as per the union bank i should get an email from bank with valid registration number and password..kindly reply me if you had facing the same problem and u hav the solution.
