IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducted the second IBPS Common Written Exam for recruitment of Bank POs on 17th June 2012 in two shifts. Here is the post for the review of the IBPS PO question paper and discussion forum to discuss the difficulty level and expected cutoffs and answers to various questions.
As per the recent comments from many subscribers of our website, the PO paper seems to be on the difficult side specially the Reasoning and Quantitative/Numerical Ability sections.

Paper was too tough in reasoning and quant most of the questions in quant are much time consuming.
I know Rannikant do anything ,but he could able to sovle even in week… i guess makya could only do this…….Haaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have attempted last Ibps exam but just missed out with 1mark in QA my total was 144, it gave me lot of confidence to improve and perform in comming exam ie yesterdays exam but after seeing the paper it was equivalent to that of an IAS or IPS paper, ibps should understand that it cannot get lakhs of IAS or IPS for the post of management trainee in banking . It should take into consideration that there are all sections of people and accordingly they need to prepare the question paper else only stronger will be stronger and weaker sections will be left out.It is totally pathetic on the side of IBPS to be so limited in thinking for a common students .

What a hard preparation I had done for this IBPS PO-II examination but when I reached exam center and took the paper on my hand, all of my dreams crashed from the sky to hell. The paper was so tough specially Reasoning and Quantitative/Numerical section(these two are my most scoring sections). Probably IBPS has done this to reduce the number of passing candidates as big number of candidates were passed in the last one and to handle the mass may be the problem factor. But this is not a right approach to make the questions so tough. So, IBPS mind it, we are the students and we are the MASS.

reasoning paper was so easy that i didn’t even try 2 attempt it and what about math it could not b solved without calculator
and computer and internet connectivity shold b allowed so one can go online and search for latest technology in computer
in the end ibps rocks it is indian by pass surgery of mind and sadly heart too (my girlfreind left me when she heard that maine paper phaad diya exam start hone ke sirf 15 minute baad)
pls stop this ibps.ibps is playing games with our lives.banks pls conduct your exams individually…so that if we miss one exam we can prepare for other bank exams..but bcoz of this ibps,if we miss it,we have to wait for another 8 months,even if we qualify in this exam,there is no guarantee for job…i dont find any use of this ibps..

This time the exam of IBPS was really tough from last time.
Specially the reasoning and aptitude section.
If a po will get a salary of 50-60 thousand then this type of standard is appropriate ….but why this type of questions are coming??
If we go through the previous years questions of various banks then we can easily see the difference.
Those people are lucky enough who had cleared exam of that time….
its high time IBPS bring down their level of toughness considering there are all sorts of level of students taking up the exam…..level of toughness should be in accordance with the time limit given…especially in reasoning and numerical ability. the level of toughness should be tat way whr one should be able to solve minimum number of questions in the given time.
such mein tough paper tha .jindagi karab ho rahi hai. kuch samach mein nahi aa raha.separate paper is se aache thein.ibps kuch aaja karo taki bachhe pass ho jaye.

hi..paper was really tough,along wid that, we had to face a problem in our exam center sacred heart high school in Hyderabad, due to heavy rain..and power cut. we got our seats on terrace,being evening session, without power it was very dark, no generator on terrace. how can someone write xam sitting in rain., felt very bad for poor organising of xam

Paper was too tough(afternoon),i didn’t expect this.
last time i got po score 145,but now i have no time to answer quant.
Hopes are gone…what happened to this ibps …???
It is better to bann this ibps process of bank exams…individual bank recruitment is the best.

IF wanna going to clear all the section but due to length of the paper couldnt clear QA.. What to do ??
this is what i feel.. I was failed by 1 mark and had scored 154 last year that boost me to do better and i was preparing from last 2 month parallely with my job.. but paper was too hard to complete…

mai to kehti hun k rrb k liye koi v apply he na kre… usme mai inhone yehi drame krne hai.. bussiness bna rkha hai inhone jobs ko.. isase ache to sbi wale hai straight forward to hai… bkwaaas ibps..
IBPS is indirectly helping the coaching classes.. I afraid if they have any connection or so… the paper was too tough. if one want to clear it need to join coaching and 12 months preparation…
Hi guyz can anyone tell please how many vaccancy are fill up on the basis of po 2 exam.as per my knowledge all the bank have fill their vaccancy on the basis of ibps 1 so what is the use of this exam and a agree with u all level of exam is very difficult last time i secure 140 marks but this time i am not even sure to qualify only because of reasoning section.

The God wants to see my efforts but I know that he knows very well “I am very hard worker man.” but its not related with IBPS PO Exam because its defferent pattern from my hardwork.Now, Everything will be dependent on God and cut-off marks. Its a great experience of my life.
