Please Note:
- Candidates successful in both CWE-Clerk II and Common interview will be listed in the order of merit.
- Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his/her preference, a successful candidate will receive through a computerised system an offer from ONE of the participating PSB’s.
- Vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining offer, will be filled from among the remaining candidates through the same procedure as mentioned above.
- Candidates must produce the necessary documents in support of their identity and eligibility pertaining to nationality, age, educational qualification, qualifying marks, category etc.
Post your preference list in the comments section.
Our team has prepared certain points which will help you in choosing your preferences:
1. How many Banks can one prefer in the Order of Preference ?
One can register order of your preference for all the 19 Participating Banks.
2. Can I give posting location preference?
There is no such thing in this selection process. Some websites misguiding the candidates by saying that you will have to give posting location preference also. This is absolutely wrong.
3. Which banks to choose among the participating Banks?
This is very common question among the passed candidates. While giving preferences, one has to think about salary & allowances and also about posting location.
- Salary: Salary and allowances are more or less same for all participating banks. So, no need to worry about that.
- Posting Location: It is best to choose banks which have more number of branches in your state. For example, In Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Bank have more number branches compare to others. It is the lead bank in many areas. So that your chances of posting in your state will be high. Similarly, State Bank of Travancore has more branches in Kerala than any other state. Keep this in mind so that you will be allotted the Bank of your region.
4. What is the allotment procedure with respect to preferences?
Allotment is based on three things- a) Vacancies, b) One’s preferences, & c) eligibility criteria set by the specific bank. Also, keep one thing in mind that in this process the seat allotment is completely based on the Merit Basis.
For Example:
- If 1st ranker opted for PNB and he has all the eligibility norms stipulated by PNB, then he will get PNB. If there are no vacancies in PNB or if he is not fit for eligibility criteria of PNB (Like age and Graduation %), his next preference will be considered for selection.
- In case of reserved candidates: If OBC candidate got marks above the General cutoff marks and his 1st preference is also satisfied in general vacancies, he will get allotment from General vacancy. If in his preferred bank, general vacancies are finished, he will be selected from OBC vacancies of respective bank (if there are any). If the OBC vacancies are also finished, then his next preference will be considered.
If you are still confused about the allotment process then leave all on IBPS. No need to worry more about the bank allotment process, the candidates will be made aware the allotment order list and procedure in detail after the final allotment list of banks have been published. There has been more transparency and the IBPS is striving hard continuously to implement a better recruiting system and let’s leave the rest to them.
5. What is the next step after allotment?
After allotment is done, final joining will be decided by the banks individually. They will call candidates to join bank whenever they want to absorb the candidates. It may take 2 to 6 months & will vary from bank to bank.
In Short, Choose the bank with most no. of vacancies from that list as your first preference & the one with least posts as last preference.

@Akanksha dont worry. i think it is not a problem. Because we can take reprint and it is also same as we given our pref. So no problem.
@all anyone received any conformation after registration of preference.
Yes,I have taken out application reprint of preferences.I think it has been submitted but confirmation is delayed. All d best every1.
@s.p.-yes,i have received confirmation message.
s.p.-everyone is saying that make your preference list according to vacancies.means what will its impact?bcoz allotment process is completely based on merit.a higher scorer will get his preferred bank.chahe us bank me ek hi seat kyo na ho.to iska fark kya padega.
dk can u tell me ur preference order?
at least first 7 banks……
@Dk allotment is merit cum pref basis. In my view you should give preference according to your choice of bank. Suppose you like boi then ubi whatever may be the reason of liking. Then irrespective of vacancy you should give boi , ubi like this. Those who are thinking by choosing smartly a cand unable to get a job will get a job it is completly wrong. Lets consider about the cand who is selected at extremely last. For him only one post will be there in a bank and the bank depends upon the choices of all cands above him. Here there is no role of his pref. Consider the cand just above him. For him only 2 posts may be in same or diff bank . According to his choice he will get the high pref bank. so just give as your choice, no trick is there.
same thing happend wid me…no sms no confrmation mail…but got the printout of prefrnce….
@Dk one more think you cant change pref of cands above you. So you give your pref. According to that you will be alloted.
sp tum fill up kar chuke ho kya?
apna preference batao?
@Skm my pref. United, Uco, Allahabad, BOI, PNB, Andhra, BOB, Union, Canara, CBI, Syndicate, Indian, IOB, OBC, Corporation, P&S, BOM, Dena, Vijaya. Tume pref deicha ki?
@s.p. bhai ye pref ka sabse galat order hai…….acche bank pehle dalo…cut off me agar aate ho to bank to milni hi hai….par pref sahi ho to acchi bank pehle milegi
specialist officer result out.

@skmbuny-1.pnb 2.bob 3.boi 4.cbi 5.canara 6.ubi 7.allahabad
i m pass in so2
@Vk upar 3 banks hamara area ka lead banks hai. Isiliye pehle dal diya. Mujhe pata hai ubi and uco r not so good. But not so bad also. By the way ab ummed nahi hai. Only 62 obc writ me 129 tha. Int avg tha. Panel ne dhoka de diya. Int me sirf 52 diya hai. Kya hoga? chance khatam ho gaya.

Subject: Preference Submission Issue
Dear Sir/ Mam,
I am a qualified candidate of IBPS Clerk 2..and I Hope to get a bank also.
When I was filling all the available bank preferences, at the bottom
of the website there was 3 buttons – Recheck, Reset & Submit.
After filling the preferences I clicked on Recheck button and a new
window opened. There at the bottom again it was written Submit.
Without thinking I immediately clicked on that submit button as I was
pretty much confirmed myself about my preference selection was OK.
Immediately when I clicked Submit button in the new window the website
page became Plane(White).
I revisited the first link and entered my log in detail but it is
showing that You have already been given your preference. I am very
much concerned about the submitting of my preferences.
My Details are as
Registration No: 1111502934
Name: GAURAV AWASTHI
Roll no.: 2110740634
I did not get back any confirmation through both SMS and email but my
friends got the same.
Please solve my issue on your level. I shall be highly obliged to you.
@Abhi i hv sent a mail to ibps. Dekhte hai kya reply ayega. I think they wil nt reply.
