How To Prepare For Bank PO Exams
Banks-India.com presents the online bank PO practice test
Every year in India, thousands of candidates apply for Probationary Officers job vacancies, but few of them get selected. Applicants need to be aware of certain things before they apply for the PO Job which can help them to clear the exam.
Regular practice in all the five tests is essential.
It is advisable to do the basics first. These can be done from class 10 books. After this, start doingsection tests, from Reasoning, Maths, English, etc. Try to get a good score in each section. After that, do some full-length tests which contain all the sections, within the stipulated time. Candidates are alsoadvised to prepare for the interview simultaneously and take care to develop their personality and confidence. After the written examination, the short-listed candidates are called for an interview. General questions are asked to check the candidate’s General Awareness and relevant issues related to Economics.
How To do the Practice for Written Paper?
For Written Test, Every Banks have almost same pattern. It consists of objective test & descriptive test.
The Objective Test generally carries of 200 – 250 marks & duration is generally 2 – 3 hrs.
The Descriptive Test is of 1hr generally & questions are essay type based on comprehension in English.
For the descriptive paper, The candidate must have a good expression and the sentences must be grammatically correct. An important aspect is hand-writing. Many candidates write almost illegibly, which examiners cannot read. They are thus unable to get a good score. Efforts must be made to improve your handwriting as well, as this could be a major shortcoming in the written paper. Apart from this, it may be said that the candidate must be aware of current issues to be able to write something on them.
The following should be taken care of while preparing for PO exam :
- Reasoning Aptitude : In this section, questions are basically of diagrams, analysis, statements etc. You should be very keen & skillful while attempting this. You will be tested on the skills used by you to solve this. Also look for previous year question paper. This will help you a lot.
- General Awareness : For preparing this section, the best is to read the newspaper daily & find out the current affairs in banking sectors. global business, money markets etc.
- English language : This section covers questions on English grammar. Vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms etc. The simple grammar book is sufficient for preparation.
- Quantitative Aptitude : In this, maths of Xth Std will be asked like algebra, profit loss, percentage etc. Class Xth maths book is the source to prepare for it.

Im yet to take the PO exam, so i aint able enough to suggest you anything in respect of the preparation for this exam. I certainly understand the disappointment of yours on several failed attempts. May be you need to seek the guidance of an expertise or a person who has cleared this exam before. But as far as your confidence is concerned, its undoubtedly worthy of praise and admiration. Very few have this courage to rise after every fall and keep up the spirit of fighting. So dont give up if you believe you have the knack and skill of putting through.
Remember- never give up the hope… Hope acts upon confidence and causes it to grow
