Effects Of Common Interview On IBPS Aspirant !!
IBPS is an institute, recognized by government of India, which got the permission from Indian government to conduct the common exam for bank jobs. It conducted PO 1, PO 2 and Clerk CWE successfully and issued Scorecard for the same.
Recently in a meeting of IBPS with Finance ministry it was discussed that candidates appearing for the common bank entrance exam may soon have to go through only one interview to land a bank job in India.
The finance ministry, in consultation with state-owned banks, is considering a centralized interview for all candidates who clear the written exam, a move that is expected to benefit lakhs of students who appear in these examinations.
If common interview for IBPS aspirants get implemented, it will have both positives as well as negative effects. Here we tried to discuss some of them.
Positives of Common Interviews :-
A common interview will help both banks and candidates by simplifying the recruitment process further and reducing the time involved in the selection process. Currently, although all state-owned banks other than the State Bank of India and its associates recruit through one common written exam, students have to appear in multiple interviews to get a job !
Common Interview is a good step to stop multiple selections as in a common interview, cutoff will also be common and we can analyze our chances of selection as well. As there would be one interview so there would be less chaos, simple n fast procedure, more economical and student friendly along with lots of similar benefits ! Also banks would be able to sort out the candidates as per there criteria and the students wont have to suffer the mental fatigue which they are facing today due to individual interviews for each bank. Hence there would only be a single selection / rejection round which is the need of the hour !
Negatives of Common Interviews :-
Common interview has a two faced stand ! Like every coin has 2 sides, the Common Interviews will also have a negative side which is the chance to get finally selected will be reduced if someone does any single mistake on the Interview day, he can lose all his chances for all 19 banks. Hence it would be a one-go chance for the students i.e if one perform well on that very day its awesome otherwise the candidate may miss final selection despite having good TWS and would have to wait for next PO / Clerical exams !
To be frank we can’t judge which one is more suitable for the candidates as main “Aim” of IBPS was to simplify the Banking Recruitment process which these individual Bank Recruitment were unable to do for past several years ! Hence IBPS concept was introduced as it claimed to be simple, student friendly system and would prevent multiple selection by selecting accurate number of candidates.
But actually common interviews are not necessary as IBPS just need to amend its policies such as it should start seizing the scorecards of selected candidates and should give only 1 final cut off as this would help to avoid the situation of over lapping and multiple selection which has proved to be a curse for the IBPS scorecard holders till date!
Please provide your views below regarding common interview policy whether it should be implemented or not and will it be benificial if implemented?

BANKERS R NOT CENTRAL OR STATE GOVT EMPLOYEE.
THEIR SALARY IS TOO MUCH LESS THAN THAN OTHER PSUS,GOVT EMPLOYEE
EVEN A BANK CLERK IS IS EQUIVALENT TO GROUP -D (SAFAI VALA)& AND PO IS GETTENG LESS THAN PRIMARY TEACHER WHIT TOO MUCH PRESSURE & WORK LOAD & FOR FROM FAMILY
.ONLY 20 years increment. donot think there r too much allowances and carrer progress.
not belive on me ask any newly recruited banker personlly
I had cracked ibps-1, but then als i ws failed bcz my score was 148 gen.
But I cracked ibps 2 als,
This time 61k passed d exam, n last yr 20k po vaccancies were there.
So, if they wl conduct common iterview then i think almost all passed candidates wil get chance fr interview.
And if they wil go on d last yrs path, then thos candidates whoes rank is below 40k, wil get maximum call fr interview.
And those who r above 50k , will hv a trouble time.
its really a welcome step taken by IBPS.
Good at many xtint,bt its rite that if some 1 nt perform on the ‘judgment day’ he losed for the whole seccion, ovrall its welcome move if all candidates get chances for interview.
dear frnds its not that dat if u have scored well in written and u dnt perform well in interview ur chances of getting selected wil lower down bcoz in the final score card the weightage of written and interview wil b 80:20 …
so chill… atleast all d qualified candidates will get d chance to appear in the interview unlike last year…
k its fine
its time ibps publishes the ‘score range’ and ‘no. of candidates’ table. atleast we could know where we stand in the crowd. what you say?
can anybody let me know wat is the highest score this year????
@pnb employee……..den y r u still serving the bank??? go ahead n leave that job buddy. just think of those who r doing jobs in private sector and d biggest fear factor is job security atleast u can do job for all ur life nobody can fire u in d banks or any other psu’s.
dats my view.
Har jagah tension hai yaar..Kya hoga mera samajh mein nahi aa raha hei??
YES DIS IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PERFORM ALL ASPIRANTS AS WELL THEN IBPS SHOULD GIVE MINIMUM CUT OF MARKS IN INTERVIEW FOR THOSE WHO NOT PERFORM WELL. THEN ONLY ALL THE CANDIDATES WILL BE HAPPY AND WILL GOT JOB…………..
i think the whole of ibps process is messed up.It was nice enough when indivitual banks used to hold their exams separetely.Atleast opportunities were more that time…
hey…its easier through ibps. one can ndrstnd dis xplanation….suppose the no of eligible candidates in d whole country is around 25000 . now if any bank anounces vacancy…that will b around 1500 (suppose). so if one aspirant is on d 20000th positions in d country in general then the chance of comin within top 4500 as bank will cal for interview will around 3 times d vacancy ), chance is less. but in case of ibps dat aspirant who is on 20000 th position can easily keep 20000 th position. so as the eligible aspirant in d whole country in d year are around 25000 and its easier to come within top 25000 rather than top 3000 bcoz all d probable top 25000 write all d xams of all d bank taken seperately….
….nd even ibps is not making money from unemployed ppls as so many frnds say….
from successful aspirant’s point of view….they spend around Rs 1500 in a yr as there is three xams ( po, clrk, specialist off. ) nd Rs 4000 for interview in all d banks if he qualifies…which is maximum. so its around Rs 5500 . so an eligible and talented can b selected for spendng Rs 5500 in a year. whereas accrding to previous system….a aspirant have to fill all d forms seperately that costs Rs 10000 as 500*20
so neone can see dr is profit of Rs 4500 atleast…whras new common intervw wil reduce d cost from Rs 5500 to Rs 1700 as 1500 for written nd 200 for intrvw…den profit will b around Rs 8300 in a year.
now from unsuccessful nd ineligible candidate….dey were spending or we may say distroying RS 10000 in a yr nd now dey are distroying RS 1500 in a year.
here d point i left is d budden and cost of attending the xams in both the case that is previous nd present way of recruitmnt…which is also profitable in the new case…
so frnd dont blame others just blame urslf….improve urself nd write ur own fate…coz even god helps those who help themself…!!
THANKZZ

hey frndz as we know that both points r good and bad for us.but everyone who passed the ibps 2 will get a chance to prove her/hisself .becoz from the last year ibps 1 exam many candidates were not faced even a single interview.and this year ibps 2 is giving a chance to everyone who have qualified the exam it means they understand the problem of students .thanx to ibps and wish u all the best ,to all my frndz for interview .ibps has announced final decisison now its our turn to prove ourself . according to me this decision has +ve effects more .so we should accept it happily……………
