Effects Of Common Interview On IBPS Aspirant !!
IBPS is an institute, recognized by government of India, which got the permission from Indian government to conduct the common exam for bank jobs. It conducted PO 1, PO 2 and Clerk CWE successfully and issued Scorecard for the same.
Recently in a meeting of IBPS with Finance ministry it was discussed that candidates appearing for the common bank entrance exam may soon have to go through only one interview to land a bank job in India.
The finance ministry, in consultation with state-owned banks, is considering a centralized interview for all candidates who clear the written exam, a move that is expected to benefit lakhs of students who appear in these examinations.
If common interview for IBPS aspirants get implemented, it will have both positives as well as negative effects. Here we tried to discuss some of them.
Positives of Common Interviews :-
A common interview will help both banks and candidates by simplifying the recruitment process further and reducing the time involved in the selection process. Currently, although all state-owned banks other than the State Bank of India and its associates recruit through one common written exam, students have to appear in multiple interviews to get a job !
Common Interview is a good step to stop multiple selections as in a common interview, cutoff will also be common and we can analyze our chances of selection as well. As there would be one interview so there would be less chaos, simple n fast procedure, more economical and student friendly along with lots of similar benefits ! Also banks would be able to sort out the candidates as per there criteria and the students wont have to suffer the mental fatigue which they are facing today due to individual interviews for each bank. Hence there would only be a single selection / rejection round which is the need of the hour !
Negatives of Common Interviews :-
Common interview has a two faced stand ! Like every coin has 2 sides, the Common Interviews will also have a negative side which is the chance to get finally selected will be reduced if someone does any single mistake on the Interview day, he can lose all his chances for all 19 banks. Hence it would be a one-go chance for the students i.e if one perform well on that very day its awesome otherwise the candidate may miss final selection despite having good TWS and would have to wait for next PO / Clerical exams !
To be frank we can’t judge which one is more suitable for the candidates as main “Aim” of IBPS was to simplify the Banking Recruitment process which these individual Bank Recruitment were unable to do for past several years ! Hence IBPS concept was introduced as it claimed to be simple, student friendly system and would prevent multiple selection by selecting accurate number of candidates.
But actually common interviews are not necessary as IBPS just need to amend its policies such as it should start seizing the scorecards of selected candidates and should give only 1 final cut off as this would help to avoid the situation of over lapping and multiple selection which has proved to be a curse for the IBPS scorecard holders till date!
Please provide your views below regarding common interview policy whether it should be implemented or not and will it be benificial if implemented?

aray ms.swayam sudha nayak not mr.
aray sahi kaha………time bohat kam hey…..pls fast
aray………..wrong dude ……. i got 153 but till date i didn’t get a single interview call
true…… more candidate ll get interview call
Seizing of score cards after selection in any one bank is a good idea, the pressure will be increased on students through common interview, so I request, plz don’t implement it. Through common interview students have got only one chance, & he would have to wait till one year, it so irritating.
By implimanting ths common interview studnts and banks boths saves ther time as wel as money no need to apply and attend all banks intrviews and the based on merit list banks also can fill there vacancies
U r right Naveen nd i m fully agree with u….
i got only one interview 182 general bihar
All the banks should be mandated to call the candidates for the interview one by one. Those who are selected in the first bank should not be allowed to appear for the next interviews.
excuse me sir jab ek exam ke baad ek interview ka chance hi hai
tab banks ke individual exam hi jyada behtar hai.
yes , i m agree with u.
i think only top 20k candidates were called for interview…and rest r still waiting for single call…government should implement this but before second PO result declare….i also having 133 marks still waiting for call…
yes its realy good to take a comn interview…..at least more of us wil get a chance…..n if v r giving a single writn exam for 19 banks then why nt a single interview…..
its betr to yk comn interviw……
common interview se bhi kuch nai hoga…
reason-uske bad bhi jo total score milega written+gd+pi
us scores se bhi toh wahi hoga jo abhi ho raha hai….banks phir bolenge apply karo..4-5 bank ne ek saath bola toh sab apply karenge…phir overlapping..
ALL THEY NEED TO IMPROVE IS TIME TAKEN FOR RESULT DECLARATION.10-15 DIN ME FINAL RESULT AJAYE TOH SYSTEM SUDHAR SAKTA HAI..
(NEED OPINION FROM ALL)
yogesh ur idea is good bt u know a bank is taking atleat 2 months or more time to declare final rsult n if d procedure wld b so then u can can think how much time it ll tk to fill all d post.. . .
bro comn interview k time pe jo form hme fill up krna hoga usme hme apni choice k acordng 1 to 19 banks ko priority deni hogi n after interiew rank k acording banks se joinig k liye cal aegi. . . .
arey koi call nai ayegi bank wale he hume bharne ko bolenge,as i think, ibps 1 ke starting me b to hume yahi laga tha ki wo log hume call karenge through mail/sms
i think common interview programme is a good approach to making ibps excellent but its not enough finance minister sahab….we want more………
I think common interview is good approach. But it should be taken in 4 parts.
1st: – higher score candidates
2nd: – middle score candidates
3rd: – lower score candidates
4th: – Candidates which are disqualified in above three interviews.
It will create second chance for disqualified candidates in 1st round of interview.
when will they conduct common interview, as the recruitment process is still following the previous pattern.
I thingh comman intervew in bank is good decesign it may start emmediate effect.
common interview condusted by IBPS is the best
Dear friends,
First of all Happy friendship day to all of you.
As concern is going ofr commman inteview for IBPS.I searched many criteria & analyse the same…thus have find out individual interview is better rather than comman interview…but have one condition to seize the score card to fist selected condidate since other will get chance after.
As above declare the condition of comman exam will harm the condidates who would not perform well during interview inspite of getting high TWS in written that could any one even me or you.
So we have to put this concen inform of IBPS mentor & try to show exact result as decided.
Dear Friends i personally request to all of you please come farward to take innovative to understand the IBPS mentor …otherwise we will loose better option to make carier and time of my life…
Please please plese….understand the senerio which is going on.
Common interview is d best. I request IBPS to conduct the interview. I scored 136 in IBPS clerk 2011. I am waiting for interview. I completed B.Tech with 70%. I rejected my IT offers because of bank. So please give us this opportunity. I am 23 yr old. Because of this score card I am sitting in home for more than 6 months without job.
@ Chandan Wish you Happy friendship day. I do understand what your saying but if we hav individual interviews Most of wont get call letter itself rather if it is conducted by IBPS all will get chance to prove themselves. IBPS can have GD and PI to analyse persons capability to the job and then offer the bank.
i think conducting a common interview is an excellent idea……as the selection tyme for various banks will get reduced…..and the aspirants dill dont have to wait for a long period for interviw…………by this low score holders will also get at least a single chance to face the interview…..and common interview will also eliminate multiple selection of a single candidate in various banks…………..moreover bank po/ clerk exams can take place twice a year…..so i shall recommed to the aspirants to plz support for common interview……………
high score candidates sabhi bank mein interview ke liye invited hai…1 hi candidate ka 3-4 bank mein selection hota hai.. aur woh join toh ek hi bank mein karta hain… phir bank waiting list kyun nahi declare karti…unki joining date khatm hone ke baad…all should come forward and send a legal notice to all these banks… paisa toh sabhi candidates se lete hain… par interview ke liye nahi invite karte… po and clerk dono mein qualified candidates ne interview ke liye application kiya…par interview ke liye invite to sirf high score waalon ko hi kiya…ek hi bande ka 2 -3 bank mein selection hota hai….system should be changed ..compulsory waiting list hona hi chahiye har ek bank ke liye…
you r r8t.common interview is a good option at least every student who hv cleared the exam can get a chance to face interview..uskey baad jo bhi ho…at least chance to miley interview deyna ka.
