Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs) invites online applications from Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer, Grade-II/Executive, General Central Service, Group-‘C’ (Non-Gazetted/Non-Ministerial). The candidate who are willing to serve anywhere in India need to apply.

Commencement of Online Application: July 13, 2013
Last date of receiving Online Application: August 12, 2013
Downloading the Admit Card: August 21, 2013
Date of Examination: September 15, 2013
Result Declaration: October 31, 2013
Interview Schedule: November 16, 2013 to November 23, 2013
Application Fees:
For SC/ST/Women candidates: No Fees
For Others: Rs. 100/-
Educational Qualification & Other norms:
- Educational Qualification: Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university. Desirable: Knowledge of computers
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years as on August 12, 2013
- Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4200 (PB- 2)+ Central Government allowances
Please Note: There is age relaxation of three years for OBC candidates, five years for SC/ ST candidates.
Selection Process: Written Test, followed by Interview
Scheme & Pattern of Exam:
The written examination for the post of ACIOII/Exe contains two papers namely Paper I (Objective type) and Paper-II (Descriptive type on English language only). The total duration for both Papers is 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Paper I focuses on:
- General awareness/General knowledge
- English language
- Reasoning
- Mathematical aptitude
Paper II focuses on: knowledge of English writing skill and analytical capability.
Payment of Fees:
Offline Payment (Cash Deposit): In this option, the applicant will be required to take a printout of Challan form and deposit the fee in cash in any branch of State Bank of India after a gap of one working day.
Online Payment (Internet Banking and ATM-Cum-Debit Card): The applicants having internet banking facility of State Bank of India or having ATM-cum-Debit card of State Bank of India can pay the fee online.
How to Apply?
- Interested and eligible candidates may apply ONLINE only (Part I, and Part II) . Any other mode of applications will not be accepted.
- There is no need to submit hard copy of application.
- Candidates are suggested to take the print out of the Registration Slip with registration number and roll number for further reference.
