IBPS Recruitment 2012 : Specialist Officer Cutoffs Released
IBPS conducted the common written examination for recruitment of Specialist Officer (SOs) on 13th March 2012 for 19 participating banks. The IBPS exam targeted to recruit specialist officers in various fields like IT, Technical, Agriculture, Legal, Marketing, HR, etc. and also in Rashtrabhasha for the banks.

Now IBPS announced the cutoffs in two stages to become eligible for specialist officer post.These cutoffs will be applied-
(i) on standard scores in individual tests.
(ii) on Total Weighted Standard Score.
1)Standard Scores In Individual Test-Candidates have to score minimum of 24 marks(Gen) or 21 marks (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in each section i.e. Reasoning,English Language,General Awareness,Quantitative Aptitude,Professional Knowledge.
2) Total Weighted Standard Score-The Total Weighted Standard Score (TWSS) can be calculated for candidates who qualified in the each individual test as per the cutoffs.
Total Weighted Standard Score can be calculated as-
Standard Scores obtained in [Reasoning + (½ English Language) + General Awareness/ Quantitative Aptitude + (1 ½ Professional Knowledge)]
Apart from scoring 24 marks(Gen) & 21 marks(SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in each test, candidated must have to score these cutoff marks to become eligible for specialist vacancies which is being announced by IBPS now.

Its not the matter of only 5775 candidates who passed the exam. But , one needs to remember that nearly 46000 candidates apply for this exam expecting to qualify and getting selected. IBPS and the PSBs are making fool of all these candidates, if they did not come up with vacancy notification before april’13.

Priyankaji,I am not talking about anyone in particular.As Joseph mentioned 5,775 qualified in MO how many have come out with any concrete proposal? In fact, all have accepted this kind of cheating.What will anyone get by filing PIL after expiry of score? No applicant has so far written a simple letter to the editor of any leading newspaper to take up the matter and interview the concerned authorities of IBPS and PSBs on behalf of thousands of candidates.Sometimes it works well.There was no harm in such effort.Last month there was a news.Someone, has applied to CIC while political parties get funds from Govt. why they are not under RTI? CIC had summoned all parties. Similarly, as I earlier wrote IBPS is mandated by Ministry of Finance, PSBs,managing committee of IBA and since all these come under RTI , IBPS should also be covered under RTI.Anyone could have written to CIC and his petition might have been accepted by CIC.But,everyone thinks why he alone should bother and he may be targeted by banks.

It was me who stopped atulya frm going the rti way since he should not become a scape goat. u people should be ashamed of urselves when u ask petty questions and give absurd suggestions. i hve talked with divisional officers of some 4 banks but they said theres no vacancy. now what d hell r u guyz criticizng atulya’? atleast he is making an effort
The question mark stands on us. we are not making any efforts to Know in details what went wrong And on contrary wishing new year and waiting for re-examination! What a nice joke! It is because of this lackadaisical attitude from us that ibps makes its own ways. We have lost it.
Its true that all the marketing candidate are frustrated.2 concept is running in our mind.
1st one- wait & watch – wait for interview/next CWE.
2nd one- talk about rti, pil etc – end with only gossip.
But in reality -At present in both the concept we are lying at ZERO position.but where ever we stand, we all have positive hope i.e vacancy will come & think when IBPS/ PSU had taken the exam they will surely recruit some candidate.
But where we are unsure is on the number(vacancy).As only 3 months are left how many bank will able to recruit is point of concern.
My view – IBPS WILL DEFINITELY RECRUIT but Competition will be tough as vacancy be very less.

I am not hurt any way.As Anup says we are presently at point zero.But,it is also true until and unless one moves in some direction he will always remain at point zero.I never indulge in gossip.I believe in making efforts in right direction the result is bound to come in favour.Some time back in my post I wrote about RTI on Bank Of Baroda regarding the exam taken by them for Manipal course. On charges of Rs.300 they are providing me names,roll no.,category, written marks and interview marks of all the candidates who were called for interview whether finally selected or not.After finding anything crucial I will refer the matter to Transparency Officer of the bank itself and CVC.What will be outcome,is something to be worth wait and watch.Normally, I do what I think is right.But,this time others are involved so I am constrained a little bit.Again thanks. From now on I am out of this business.
Dear Ashok,those awaiting for notification should tight their belt.Notification for SO CWE 2013 is in newspapers and of course there is also MO category.They should enthusiastically fill up challan and contribute their share in strengthening national economy once again.

Without even recruiting a single incumbent, how d hell ibps gets stock order frm banks? this is a sham organisation. either officials need to learn maths or stop the nonsense. this time rather going to banks and asking, i will file rti. i know d people who r with me. thnx atulya and joseph. i will phone u guyz to know the process.

I would like to know how many vacancies of I.T. Officer
(Scale-II) are filled through the IBPS Specialist 2011-2012 recruitment.
I want to know how many Pharmacist category have been filled through S.O.CWE,2011-2012 in technical category.
